By now, everyone probably knows about the drama going on between Mary J. Blige and her estranged husband, Kendu Isaacs. In addition to outlandish divorce demands and staggering alimony costs, Mary also revealed Kendu cheated on her.

In her VH1 documentary Strength of a Woman, she blasted her husband’s alleged mistress. Although her name was bleeped out in the video, most suspect that Mary is talking about her former protege/artist, Starshell, whom has long been rumored to have a thing going on with Kendu. In the doc,’ Mary described the alleged mistress as her “Becky with the good hair,” an ode to Beyonce’s “Lemonade” song.  “All these years have come to this, like, you didn’t even pick me, you picked somebody else,” Mary said. “That sh* t is humiliating. It hurt real bad. But… they got beds, we gotta lay in it. And just so we’re clear… Do not let her anywhere near what you’re doing for me, because she’s the reason for all of this sh*t.”

Now, that many believe that it is Starshell who has been blasted by the Grammy Award-winning singer, she’s speaking out to clear her name.

Speaking Out:

According to Dallas Black, Starshell took to Instagram in response to the documentary and claims the allegations are completely false. “This is absolutely not true,” Starshell said. In addition to her brief statement, she’s also shared a post via Facebook. The post appears to be a subliminal response to all of the backlash she’s faced amid Kendu’s cheating scandal. Starshell posted a meme about gossip that included the bible verse, Proverbs 16:28.

“The most powerful thing is… It was all written,” Starshell wrote. “All we must do is take heed! No matter what your struggle or how you may be being used or tested; remember that GOD got you and all of the rest is a test, an illusion, the trick of the devil. Stay steadfast, humble, and faithful. You are in this world, but not of this world. Float above the noise and find peace in HIM! Sending love light and positivity to anyone who may need it this wonderful day!

Kendu’s Response:

Despite Mary’s claims, Kendu’s attorney has voiced sentiments similar to Starshell’s post. Both are denying the allegations. “Allegations that have been made about Kendu are false, unfair, mean-spirited and sad. The court can deal with it if it’s relevant. He’s a very pleasant guy. He’s not abusive. He’s not the one going to the press. His goal is to reach an amicable resolution with her and [have] this commentary cease and desist. It doesn’t help any of them. It’s misleading. He cares about Mary. He wants her to do well.”

Although Kendu claims he wants the best for Mary, fans aren’t buying it. Hopefully, the couple’s divorce will be finalized soon so Mary can move forward.
