The boyfriend of the late Bobbi Kristina Brown, Nick Gordon, is now a free man after his new girlfriend had him arrested for reportedly beating her to an oblivion on June 9, 2017. Nick’s past abusive history and/or allegations against him are just as headline grabbing as his luck these days.

As we previously reported, Nick’s girlfriend, Laura Leal, filed a domestic violence claim against Nick after she said he beat her in his Sanford, Florida home for six hours straight in June. She provided photos of her bruises to police and stated that she feared that she was about to end up just like Bobbi Kristina if she’d stayed with him:

Via DM: “I’ve been reading the reports about Bobbi Kristina and I’m physically shaking,’ [Laura Leal] told DailyMail.com at the time. “I read about her being isolated, her family not knowing where she was, the manipulation, the bullying – it’s the exact same thing. “That could have been me. Only the Grace of God saved me.”

Leal, who’s 5’2″ claimed that Nick- who’s 6’1″- had accused her of sleeping with his friend and after she denied it, he went into a fit of rage:

Via DM: He literally sat on top of me on the bed, punching my head with his big a** body on top of me,” she claimed. “I was punched so hard that I was seeing colors and a bright flashing light. I thought I was going to go blind and wondered whether I was ever going to be able to see again. I thought to myself, am I dying?”

Why Nick’s Grlfriend Dropped the Charges

Well now, Laura Leal is not denying that Nick beat her, she’s apparently simply tired of going through the lengthy legal process to get him convicted:

DailyMail.com has learned that prosecutors have dropped charges against Gordon – because Leal told the judge directly she wanted the case shut down. According to an official document seen by DailyMail.com, Leal… had initially been helpful with the police’s investigation. However, it said, “Leal became unhappy with the criminal justice process” and started harranguing police to get them to drop the case. She then put down her demands in writing – first in a written statement that she didn’t want to continue prosecution, and then by writing directly to the judge in charge of the case.

Via DM: According to the document, she also began to make “statements that indicated further or conflicting accounts of the original incident.” That, plus the fact that she was the only witness to the alleged incident, led to prosecutors shutting the case down.

Nick Forced To Undergo Anger Management By Police

It was also reported in the court docs, that the prosecuters “sought and obtained proof that sanctions requiring Mr Gordon to undergo a four hour Anger Management Course and a four hour Alcohol and Substance Abuse Course had been successfully completed prior to filing the notice of no prosecution.”

Another Woman Made Claims Against Nick

Shortly after Leal reported Nick in early June, another woman reportedly claimed to have photographic evidence that Nick had beaten her also. Prior to that, authorities investigating the current criminal case of Bobbi Kristina’s death, in which Nick is still a ‘person of interest,’ reportedly stated that they intend to factor in Leal’s claims into their case as well.

So again folks, Nick is a free man and has yet to have been convicted of any wrongdoing. As far as the criminal case for Bobby Brown’s and the beloved Whitney Houston’s daughter, we’ll keep you all posted.
