After Khalilah and her son, Ali Jr. exited the plane from Jamaica and entered the Florida airport, immigration officers approached them for questioning. But apparently, the only reason they didn’t detain Khalilah is because she was able to PROVE she was Muhammad Ali’s ex-wife:

Khalilah showed officers a picture of herself with her ex-husband, who died last June 3, so she was not detained. Ali Jr. had no such photo.

Hmmm…so if Khalilah wouldn’t have once been married to a well-respected American icon, she would have been held up too? Is this the United States or…?

RESPONSE FROM U.S. CUSTOMS/BORDER PROTECTION:

Via MNT: A spokesperson for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Norma Morfa, declined to comment on Ali Jr.’s case specifically. “Due to the restrictions of the Privacy Act, U.S. Customs and Border Protection cannot discuss individual travelers; however, all international travelers arriving in the U.S. are subject to CBP inspection,” she told New Times via email.

Ali Jr. and his dad’s twin daughters, Jamillah Ali-Joyce and Rasheda Ali-Walsh, are also Khalilah Ali’s kids. Although the twins have never spoken on certain controversial topics about their family, Ali Jr. and their mom have a history of never biting their tongues. So it looks like the immigration officers may have messed with the wrong Ali. Junior is just as outspoken as his beloved Pops was and is now bringing much more public awareness to situations like these, by utilizing the tools he was birthed with- his father’s DNA and name.
