For many years, fans everywhere have adored the Knowles family. Long before the famed singer’s parents divorced, they appeared to be the picture-perfect family. But now sordid details about their life behind closed doors have been revealed. Several news outlets have confirmed that Beyonce’s childhood vocal coach, David Lee Brewer, has released a tell-all book with bombshell details about her interactions with the Knowles family before Destiny’s Child became famous.

Raising Beyonce:

According to EURWeb, Brewer has made quite a few allegations about Tina and Mathew Knowles in his new book Beyonce: Raising Genius. Based on Brewer’s accounts, Tina and Mathew spent years tolerating each other in a marriage that was depicted as tumultuous and miserable. In excerpts obtained by the publication, Brewer described a troubled marriage that ultimately led to emotional issues for their young daughter, who witnessed many of their arguments:

“Her parents’ spats (over money, or Mathew’s absences) would bother Beyoncé tremendously,” he reportedly wrote in the excerpts. “A deeply sensitive child, Beyoncé would adopt other people’s issues as her own. She was way too young to understand that taking on her parents’ troubles was unhealthy.”

Alleged Drug Abuse:

In another part of the book, Brewer went on to discuss Mathew Knowles’ alleged drug use. The vocal coach claims the marriage was filled with drug use and infidelity long before the days of stardom:

“In a tear scene, Celestine said that Mathew’s drug use had gotten out of hand. I knew all about it. I’d found a very small package of what appeared to be Mathew’s wonder drug. Turns out, he had escalated to stronger drugs and even stranger behaviors. Rumor had it that cocaine had long since stopped satisfying his thirst, and had turned to crack cocaine.”

Brewer also touched on infidelity in their marriage. Of course, fans know all about Mathew Knowles’ cheating, which is what ultimately led to their divorce. But, Brewer is telling another side of the infidelity. He also claims Tina Knowles was cheating on her husband with the man she’s married to now – Richard Lawson. When Brewer saw Tina, whom he refers to as Celestine, he alleges that she was kissing Lawson, but referred to him as her “cousin.”

“I soon discovered that, although unhappily married, Celestine was not suffering all by herself. Going over to the main house to retrieve my keyboard one afternoon, I happened upon Celestine kissing a man. I recognized him immediately: Richard Lawson, a famous actor. The startled Celestine had no choice but to introduce me. Talk about awkward. She was supposed to be at her salon. I extended my hand to Richard, telling him how much I admired his work. He nodded. “It’s a pleasure,” he said. After letting him out of the house, Celestine turned. “Richard is my cousin,” she said. “He’s on that stuff.

“Talking a mile a minute, Celestine explained that she had been counseling Richard. He’s been on cocaine a long time, she said, and is trying to break the bad habit. She was working awfully hard to convince me of her innocence. I kept thinking, The lady definitely doth protest too much. Why? I hadn’t a clue. She should have known I’d be the last one to mention the scene to Mathew. But hey, I thought, what’s good for Mathew should be good for her, right? Absolutely not. What she was doing was against everything that she swore she believed in. Celestine Beyincé Knowles was a puritan, a self-proclaimed martyr for Jesus. She never admitted to, or had been caught in the act of doing, anything suspect, not until now anyway. It wasn’t biblical, what she was doing. Adultery was a sin, no matter how she spun the story. No doubt in my mind. Celestine was cheating on her cheating husband with her “Cousin” Richard. Damn.”

Woah… At this point, the Knowles family has yet to respond to the allegations in Brewer’s book but he might be hearing from the famed family’s legal team in the near future.
