Breaking News: Bobby Brown Loses Sole Custody Battle Of Bobbi Kristina

Posted On : May 8, 2015

Today the judge over Bobby Brown’s and the Houston family’s guardianship case has ruled that Bobby Brown will not be the sole legal guardian of Bobbi Kristina, but will have co-guardianship, along with Pat Houston, over Bobbi Kristina.

Here are the details of the ruling that were just released today: (via TMZ)

Whitney Houston’s family and Bobby Brown will now be forced to work together — Bobby and Pat Houston have been appointed co-guardians of Bobbi Kristina.
The court ruling means Whitney’s sister-in-law and Bobby will now share responsibility for 22-year-old Bobbi Kristina’s medical care. Bobby filed a petition last month to become her legal guardian.
The court also appointed an attorney — Bedelia Hargrove — as conservator, and she will control all financial and legal matters for Bobbi Kristina … who is now breathing on her own.
We got video of Pat and Cissy Houston leaving the DeKalb Co. courthouse after Thursday’s hearing, and Pat told us, “It was a good day.”

“We are delighted to inform the public that the court has appointed Bobby Brown and Pat Houston as co-guardians of Bobbi Kristina Brown (‘Krissi’). Both Mr. Brown and Ms. Houston are jointly responsible for decisions related to Krissi’s care and medical needs,” reads a statement issued by David Long-Daniels, Counsel for Pat Houston and Cissy Houston, and Christopher Brown, Counsel for Bobby Brown.

“Ms. Hargrove is responsible for Krissi’s assets, including her likeness, rights and legal claims,” the statement explains. According to Hargrove’s law firm’s site, she “specializes in fiduciary litigation, probate and estate administration, estate planning, personal injury and wrongful death cases, as well as general civil litigation.“

“Both parties are delighted with the court’s decision and are working harmoniously to ensure Krissi receives the best possible medical care. We are appreciative of the manner in which Judge Jeryl Debra Rosh handled this matter,” the statement concluded.
