Erykah Badu Shuts Down Haters Over Her Thick Bodied Photoshopped Photo Claims

Posted On : May 14, 2017

We love u some Erykah Badu, here at ILoveOldSchoolMusic, because she’s always been one of the realest celebrities out there. She’s made no apologies for her life- such as the time she recently cracked jokes about her multiple rapper ‘baby daddies’ on social media. She is unapologetic about her mostly grey hair…

And now she’s making no apologies about her bangin’ thicky-thick physique. When she recently shared a back profile of herself performing on stage, one thing was definitely eye catching about it- her apple bottom (don’t judge me about that throwback Nelly slang term…just trying to find a more polite way to say ‘booty’…LOL…moving on)….

While we all appreciated Ms. Badu’s, uh…temple…she wanted to make one thing clear about what we were witnessing: That she is au naturel and that her butt is definitely is not the work of photoshop. So before her haters had time to even make those claims, she decided to shut them down right out the gate:

@erykahbadu: “Haters will say it’s photoshopped”

Of course her fans got a kick outta seeing her pic and caption and gave her props on both.

By the way, this isn’t the first time Erykah took to social media to embrace her natural beauty. Some of y’all may recall when we Badu shared video of herself dancing in a bra top and panties while getting dressed backstage at The Soul Train Awards. That was CLASSIC and we loved every ounce (physically and figuratively) of her confidence and beauty. Erykah didn’t try to suck in her belly, nor pick out some perfect angling to try camouflage anything, she just took a cue from the Isley Brothers because ‘it’s her thing and she did what she wanted to do.’ She also gave the message that every woman is beautiful just the way they are. So, big ups to Erykah for sharing her authentic beautiful self with the world.

On a side note: This is really random, but I’m willing to bet that there’s some Old School cat out there right now, checking out Erykah Badu and thinking of that The Color Purple line ‘Shug Avery’s’ fan said to her inside ‘Harpo’s Juke Joint’: “Girl I’d drink your bath water!”
