Good Gawd! Ashanti’s Mama Still Got It! Watch Her Twerk w/Her Daughters!

Lawd Ha’mercy! Ashanti’s fifty-something year old mother, Tina Douglas, is lookin’ GOOD! Now before we get started, pardon me while I look at Mama Tina and have one of “Papo’s” (from “Good Times”) “Thelma, Thelma, THELMA!” moments, LOL *pause.* Okay I’m back…

Ashanti with mom and sister

From the looks of this dance/twerk video, Tina can hang with her beautiful daughters…their doing a dance she taught them when they were kids. We appreciated the mini twerk session these three women gave and we also see where Ashanti and her sister, Kenashia, got those thick thighs from.

Go ‘head Mama Tina!

Another thing we love is how close Tina is with Ashanti and Kenashia. Not only is she Ashanti’s manager, she’s her confidante when she needs her, just as she was during Ashanti’s recent stalker trial. Ashanti had to painfully testify just a few feet away from the crazy, deranged man who has been stalking her for years, while her stalker sat in the courtroom staring at her during her testimony. Tina was by her daughter’s side through the entire process and the stalker dude ultimately got sentenced to more jail time.

As far as Tina’s personal life, she’s been married to her husband, Kenkaide (Ashanti’s and Kenashia’s dad), for many years and their still keeping their old school love strong…

And there you have it family, the family that twerks together, stays together!

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
