Here’s Lauryn with her children- John, Joshua, Zion, Selah, Micah and Sarah; and the father of 5 of her 6 children, Rohan Marley (Bob Marley’s son). It was taken at her son’s graduation earlier this year. Yep the son that graduated from high school is Zion, as in the newborn baby she was singing the lyrics “Now the joy of my world is from Zion” about just yesterday, or so it seems that way, but clearly things have changed.

So we just showed you how time just seemed to have flown by with Lauryn’s tribe, but this video clip of her celebrating her 40th b-day in May of this year (2015) further breathes truth into that statement. It seems like just yesterday that Lauryn was the teenager singing on the movie Sister Act, it seems like just a blink of an eye ago, she was just 21 years old singing Roberts Flack’s classic, “Killing Me Softly,” with her former Fugees group members Pras and Wyclef. Anyways, check out how Lauryn got a little emotional when her guests sang Stevie Wonder’s version of “Happy Birthday” to her.
