“Laura & Eddie Winslow” Reunite For Event & “Laura” Shows Her Adorable Kids

From the 1988 to 1998, we were fortunate enough to have the “Winslow” family and their nerdy neighbor, “Steve Urkel,” crack us up every week. “Eddie,” “Laura,” “Carl,” “Harriette Winslow” and “Urkel” became household names and dominated television for while. After the show ended they all went there separate ways and created different lives and career paths.

So it was good to see actor, Darius McCrary (“Eddie”), reunite with his TV sis,’ Kellie Williams (“Laura”), on Tom Joyner’s ‘Sky Show‘ on Friday morning. The two of them chopped it up with Joyner and a live audience, where they will be participating in ‘The Tom Joyner Family Reunion’ event for the next few days. Darius talked about his musical performance there, and his character on the hit Fox TV show, Star. While Kellie- who’s pretty much been out of the spotlight- revealed “I’ve been being a mom and a wife” since stepping away from acting.

Kellie even showed off her adorable kids and her husband on Instagram. Their daughter is 7 and their lil’ man is 5…

When Joyner suggested that Kellie let her kids go to a local show, where the staff of the ‘Family Reunion’ festivities will watch the kids, so the parents can have some relaxation time, Kellie joked about being an old school mom, who isn’t into leaving her kids with strangers.

Also, as some of us know, Darius can act, as well as sing. He spoke to Joyner about his musical family and background and referred to his successful acting career as a “wonderful accident”:

Darius: “You know I come from music. My family has worked with so many people throughout the years. I was raised in music and acting was just a wonderful accident.”

When asked if there will be a Family Matters reboot, Darius said:

“Well you know it’s a beautiful thing to be family. We still stay connected. We look forward to the future and doing things together. We are actually going to be getting together for a little family reunion.”

We’ll keep our fingers crossed for that reboot, as is their co-star, JoMarie Payton (mother, “Harriette Winslow”), who’s been pushing to get it back on air soon too.

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
