LL Cool J Reacts To Maia Campbell’s Rejection Video Response To Him

Posted On : July 12, 2017

A few days ago, actress, Maia Campbell, found herself at the center of controversy after a heartbreaking video surfaced of her begging a dude for cocaine at a Stone Mountain, GA gas station. LL Cool J reached out to his former In The House castmate hoping to lend a helping hand, which she surprisingly declined (however, she’s currently in county custody for her own good). Now, he’s responded to her disheartening video response. Check it below…

A Somber Reaction:

On July 10th (2017), LL took to Twitter with a simple message that was clearly directed toward Maia. He tweeted, “You can’t help someone who doesn’t want your help.”

Fans React To LL’s Statement

Of course, the tweet didn’t go unnoticed. Fans quickly began responding to LL’s statement with concern, understanding, and admiration. Many Twitter users applauded LL for his attempt to intervene. Some even encouraged him not to give up because Maia’s battle is much more complex than most would imagine, referring to not just her longtime drug battle, but also her bipolar disorder. ‘Don’t Call Me, I’ll Call You’:”

Over the weekend, LL took to social media with a post asking for Maia’s contact information. Although he was successful in reaching her, he didn’t exactly get the response he may have been hoping for. Maia took to social media with a video message to the rapper, whom she affectionately calls Todd. To many fans, the second video was just as disheartening as the first. Maia made it clear she’s in complete denial of her condition. “Hey Todd, look bro, I love you,” she tells her former colleague in a recorded video. “I don’t need help, I just need a benefit concert for mental health. Don’t DM me.”

After she declined LL’s help, it was reported that an intervention team stepped in. Maia is currently being held at the Dekalb County Jail awaiting a mental evaluation. Hopefully, this beautiful soul will get the help she needs once and for all.

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
