The checks and contracts just seem to keep rolling in for 71 years young, Ms. Patti LaBelle! If she isn’t a true representation of an entertainer reinventing themselves, then we don’t know what is.

Ever since Patti’s pies went viral and sold faster than we can say “Gitchi, gitchi, ya ya, da da,” it’s like Patti has had a new resurgence in her career. She now has a new gig- Patti has just signed on with NBC’s popular singing competition show, The Voice, to be an advisor for the upcoming 10th season of the show. She’ll be offering her expertise to guidance to one of the show’s judges, singer Christina Aguilera’s group.
We love seeing an old school legend, like Patti, still earning bread doing what she loves. When we first heard that Patti’s pies had sold over a million in one weekend after fan, James Wright, posted his viral video, we were like ‘Cha-ching!’ Then we we got word that Patti negotiated a contract with Walmart for a new product, her Patti’s cakes, and we were like ‘Cha-Cha-CHING!’ Now that that Patti has this new gig on The Voice, we’re like ‘Cha-Cha-Cha-CHING…Get your paper Patti!’

The other celebs who will be joining Patti as advisors on The Voice are Sean “Puffy” Combs, who will be advising judge/producer, Pharrell Williams’ team, and singer, Tori Kelly, will be advising judge/rock singer, Adam Levine’s team.
