Nas Files Legal Case Against Ex-Wife Kelis..Calls Her “Hostile,” Says She’s Doing Him Dirty

Posted On : December 30, 2017

In 2003, Kelis’ “Milkshake” may have brought “all the boys to the yard,” but as of December 2017, she has not been bringing her son, Knight, to the front door for his daddy, Nas. That is according to claims the New York emcee told the courts. Ever since Nas and Kelis ended their 5 year marriage in 2010, it’s been a rocky road for them.

There were the cheating claims made by Kelis, which apparently provoked her to tell Nas ‘peace out’ in the first place. Then there was the infamous child support/spousal support battle that allowed Kelis to live a very plush lifestyle off of Nas’ hard work. Not that she doesn’t work hard herself, but she came up big time with the millions in support that the judge awarded her.

Why Nas Filed New Court Claim Against Kelis

Fast forward to now and they’re fighting a whole new battle- the battle over their visitation rules, which Nas says she is repeatedly refusing to honor. In new court docs Nas has filed, he described Kelis as “hostile” when it comes to the fight she reportedly puts him through just to see their 8 year old son, Knight.

Nas now asking the judge to step in and lay his/her foot down to make Kelis put some ‘respeck’ on his name like Birdman. Aiight, maybe he didn’t quite word it that way, but y’all get what I’m saying. Here’s what was just reported about Nas and his colorful haired baby mama:

Nas calls Kelis “hostile” in court docs, obtained by TMZ, claiming he’s tried for months to work out an amicable agreement for sharing their son Knight … and Kelis just won’t cooperate. He’s asking a judge for Knight on the first, third and fifth weekend of each month from Friday after school through Monday morning. Source

In November 2017, Nas initially filed court docs, stating that he tried to “work cooperatively with Kelis over the years,” but that Kelis only “allows him to exercise his custody with their son when she deems it convenient for her.” Their visitation arrangement was proposed, by Nas, as follows:

Via TheBlast– Nas wants the child on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th weekend of every month. The child will spend Mother’s Day with Kelis and Father’s Day with Nas, and they each get to celebrate their own birthday with the child. As for the other holidays:
Kelis gets Halloween in even years, Nas gets odd.
Kelis gets July 4 in even years, Nas gets odd.
Kelis gets Summer Break in odd years, Nas gets even.
Kelis gets Thanksgiving in odd years, Nas gets even.

Hennessy Celebrates Hip Hop Legend NAS' Birthday
NEW YORK, NY – SEPTEMBER 13: Nas and Nicki Minaj attend hip hop artist Nas’ private birthday dinner, presented by Hennessy, the world’s best-selling Cognac, at The Pool Lounge in New York City on September 13, 2017. Hennessy celebrates artists such as Nas who continue to push the limits of potential to ‘Never stop. Never settle.’ Guests enjoyed a variety of Hennessy cocktails including Nas’ signature drink – The Big Apple, along with a classic V.S.O.P Privilége Sazerac and X.O on ice. It’s ironic that Kelis is giving so many alleged visitation problems to Nas right around the time he’s started a new relationship. Maybe she just doesn’t want her son around Nicki Minaj for whatever reason…Hmmmm… Don’t know if thats true or not, but Nas is still lovin’ on his boo-thang, Nick and vice versa, so we’ll keep y’all posted if they ever reach Mr. and Mrs. Nas levels. In the meantime, wishing an amicable resolve for Kelis and Nas for the sake of their lil’ man, Knight.
