Things aren’t looking good for Nene’s tax situation. Mrs. Nene “I’m very rich bi*ch” Leakes has just been slapped with the second tax lien in four months for a sum totaling of slightly less than a million bucks! And from the looks of it, the IRS ain’t cuttin’ her any slack.

Check out the details from DailyMail:

In July, the federal government also hit the 48-year-old reality star with a tax lien, threatening to seize her assets if she didn’t pay $830,000 in back federal taxes from the same year.’

‘The state tax lien that was filed in September shows that Leakes originally owed $58,458, but it has grown with interest ($9,715.71), penalties ($15,317.61), collection fees ($11,691.60) and other costs. If she does not pay her debt soon, the Department of Revenue will begin the process of seizing her assets and property.’

Dayumn that’s a lotta bread! Hopefully Nene will be able to cover her tax bill soon and still maintain her lifestyle without feeling imprisoned by the IRS. Y’all know the IRS does NOT play and whenever somebody owes them that kind of money, rest assured he/she will feel like Dijimon Hounsou in “Amistad,” saying “Give us free”…until they cut their final check to the IRS…

Although Nene will probably be the butt of many “I’m rich bi*ch” jokes online, we, here at ILOSM, truly wish her the best with her tax situation and it’s good that she has a great support system in her husband, Greg, during this stressful time.

In the meantime we’ll be jammin’ to these two classic old school joints, which seem pretty appropriate for this situation…
The O’Jays’ “Money” (Simply because the title is what this article is about):

Rockwell’s “Somebody’s Watching Me” (Because this is how it feels when you know you owe the IRS and they’re coming to collect their debt):

“Freedom” by various artists (Because freedom from that IRS tax debt is probably what Nene cannot wait to attain):

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
