We’ll start this off with a collective ‘Say it ain’t so Janet!’ Now that we got that out of the way, let’s get right to the details of what the word on the Old School curb is about Janet Jackson (50) and her 42 year old billionaire husband of 5 years, Wissam Al Mana.

It’s just been reported by Daily Mail that the two new parents have split up just three months after Janet gave birth to their baby boy, Eissa. A friend of Janet’s has apparently let the cat outta the bag about their marriage.

Via DailyMail: …Last night, a close friend of Ms Jackson told The Mail on Sunday: ‘Sadly, Janet and Wissam have decided that it wasn’t working and to go their separate ways.
‘They’re both busy people but determined to be good parents, even if they’re apart. It’s amicable and Eissa will stay with his mother, who is basing herself in London.’

It was also reported a few months ago, that Janet was spotted a soon after giving birth to her son, without her big rock of a wedding ring, which had sparked separation rumors at that time, but they quickly simmered down once no one from Janet’s camp had spoken on the matter and and things had seemed to be back to normal for the couple. This go ’round is different though, according to the friend who’s telling all about the split.

Janet Won’t Have Top Pay This Time Though…

Damn…third time’s supposed to be the charm. But it looks like that old saying may be is useless for Janet’s love life.

If you recall, she’s been married twice before- the first one to James Debarge was just a bad idea apparently, because they got an annulment faster than we could say “What have you done for me lately.”

Janet’s second marriage had a pretty long stint to her ex-husband, Elizondo Renee. That divorce cost her a pretty penny though and she ended up having to pay him $10 million for their 8 years of marriage. They had a pre-nup, but Renee sued and won a judgement against her for spousal support after claiming that he’d signed the pre-nup under duress.

Hopefully Janet’s marriage to Wissam does NOT end in divorce and they can work things out. However, if it does get to that point, this will be the first time that Janet is the financial underdog of her marriage and Wissam will likely have to pay. He’s reportedly worth at least four more than Janet as of now, so those spousal and child support checks would be very hefty if, in fact, there is trouble in paradise between Janet “Ms. Jackson if you’re nasty” Jackson and her Islamic husband, Wissam Al Mana.
