O.J. Simpson spoke out from prison to reveal that a few parts of the new FX show about his murder trial, The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, are actually false. In case you haven’t heard, the show has captivated millions of people as they tune in every week to find out more details (as they were portrayed by author, Jeffrey Toobin) that went down behind the scenes of the O.J. Simpson murder trial, in which he was accused of murdering Nicole Brown-Simpson and her friend, Ronald Goldman in 1994.

O.J. can’t watch the show because the Nevada prison where he is serving his 33 year sentence, Lovelock Correctional Center, does not air the FX channel. So his prison guards and friends have been telling him to what’s being said and portrayed about him on the show.

According to Page Six, in addition to O.J.’s former prison guard, Jeffrey Felix, saying that O.J. doesn’t like how the show is portraying him to be guilty of murder, Felix also revealed that after O.J. learned said FX got certain facts wrong and that one of those facts is the real reason why O.J. did not shoot himself in the head during his infamous 1994 white Bronco slow speed police chase with his friend, A.C. Cowlings. On the show, it was implied that the reason O.J. didn’t shoot himself in the head, was because when he talked to his friend/attorney, Robert Kardashian, on the car phone, that it was Robert who ultimately helped to calm O.J. down and talk him out of the potential suicide attempt, but here is what Felix said O.J. revealed to him about the police chase:

“The only reason he didn’t shoot himself in the head in the Bronco is that he saw a kid on the side of the road holding a sign saying, ‘We Heart You Juice!’

“It made him think of his own childhood, and about his own kids, and how they wouldn’t have any parents,” says Felix.

Felix also said that since O.J. can’t watch the show in prison, he relies on Khloe Kardashian and A.C. Cowlings for details of the episodes.

“He can’t watch it, but he’s heard a lot about it. He’s hearing it from the guards. He’s hearing it from Khloé Kardashian and from ‘A.C.’ Cowlings,” Felix said.

Khloe KardashianOkay let’s back up for a sec,’ we know what some may be asking: “O.J. and Khloe Kardashian still have a close relationship, just like O.J. did with the entire Kardashian fam’ back in the day?” We’re not sure of that answer, but if what Felix is saying is accurate, it sounds like they may still have some type of contact. Khloe did recently say that she’s torn because she used to refer to O.J. as her ‘Uncle O.J.’ and that she thinks the show is trying to add a few inaccuracies to capitalize off of the Kardashian name.

If there are some falsities in terms of the facts and portrayal of O.J., he could always sue, just like his friend, AC has threatened to do if FX gets his involvement in the O.J. murder trial process wrong. Here’s the only problem though…(turn page)
