Oh My…Aretha Franklin Returns & Stuns Fans With Her Very Different Body

Over the past year or so, Aretha Franklin has had to cancel several of her concerts for “health reasons” that caused her doctor to order her to rest. Although Ms. Franklin has repeatedly denied she has any serious illnesses -such as the cancer rumors that were spread a while back- it was her recent return to the stage that has many fans highly concerned.

After taking some months off from performing, the 75 year old Queen of Soul hit the stage for her show in Virginia the other night. Her voice was as impeccable as ever, but it was her much smaller body weight that became viral across social media.

Queen Re-re has always been known to be a voluptuous woman, even in her heyday, but now she appears to have lost nearly half of her prior body weight since the last time most of us have laid eyes on her.

Aretha Franklin’s New Appearance

In an online post shared by Uptown Magazine, Aretha looked well and fans were very happy to see her back on top of her game. But check out the pic that has many wondering whether or not she should be pushing herself to still perform these days though…

As we reported a few months ago, Ms. Franklin announced that she’s hanging up the mic for good very soon and that before she exits the music game, she’ll be gracing us with a new superstar studded album. On her new currently unnamed album, will be some musical heavyweights such as Lionel Richie, Elton John, and Stevie Wonder, just to name a few.

Hopefully Aretha Franklin’s health is on point and she has just decided to cut back on some calories or something…but if not, we sincerely wish her well and will continue to send positive energy her way.

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
