Jada Pinkett-Smith on “Sway in the Morning” radio show

Jada Pinkett-Smith has been sitting on a bombshell of a revelation all these years and has just revealed for the first time ever, what that is. Turns out, our girl, Jada, isn’t as ‘wholesome’ as many of us probably think she is- intelligent, talented, and beautiful, yes…but not entirely ‘wholesome.’

It’s no secret that she and ‘Pac were closer than close back in the day, although she says they were ‘just friends’ (with the exception of that one reported kiss). The thing that has us trippin,’ here at ILOSM, is what Jada revealed during her interview Wednesday morning (July 19, 2017), on “Sway in the Morning” satellite radio show.

Tupac and Jada

She Was A WHAT?!!

Jada was on the show to promote the hilarious movie she’s currently co-starring in titled, Girls Trip. When asked about her relationship with Tupac, she started off by saying, “I haven’t been completely honest.” Then she proceeded to explain that she won’t reveal the whole story because she’s writing a book about her time with ‘Pac, but she did reveal one major fact: Jada was a drug dealer during the time that she and ‘Pac were homies and no, it was NOT Tupac’s doing. Jada was already in the drug game by the time she and ‘Pac became cool.

See what else she said in the video clip below:

“It’s kinda hard because I haven’t really told the whole story. […] When I first met ‘Pac…I was a drug dealer. […] As I was coming out of the life, he was going more into the life.”

Well ain’t that blip?!! Who would’ve ever thought Jada Pinkett-Smith- the talented actress, devoted wife to the legendary Will Smith, dedicated mother to Willow and Jaden, the generous philanthropist- was hustlin’ on the blocks of Baltimore, MD back in the day. It’s beautiful to see the 180 degree turn she’s taken in her life and equally as inspiring to millions. Can’t wait to read that book.

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
