When New Edition performed recently, Ralph Tresvant surprised the crowd by calling Jahi from backstage for an impromptu performance with N.E. of their 80’s classic, “Is This The End.” Jahi had the whole crowd buggin’ and even the N.E. were impressed because he sang the HELL outta that song and performed like he’s been doing it for well beyond his years in front of thousands of people.

Watching Jahi work the stage and the audience with so much passion, brought us right back to 1983 when we were watching New Edition do their thing as kids with that song.

Check out Jahi perform with New Edition below. His co-star, Dante Hoaglan, (who played the kid Mike Bivins) also made a cameo.

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
