Wow! Remember The ‘Soul Food’ Kid? He’s A Grown Man Now & Looks Very Different!
Here’s Brandon today at 33 years old. As you can see, he is a grown man, but he’s still very recognizable. Pretty sure, it’s hard for him to walk through the streets without somebody saying “Yo, aren’t you the dude from Soul Food?”
Nowadays Brandon is single and as far as we know he doesn’t have any children as of yet, although he did say he’d like to have some in the future.
As far as his career, Brandon hasn’t appeared in any films or TV shows since approximately 2002, but it would be great to see him back on the scene again because he is a hell of an actor. We’ll never forget about the scene toward the end of Soul Food, where he cried on cue at the family dinner and put all of the adults in check. Brandon’s acting in that scene was priceless and it showed just how seasoned his acting abilities were.
Any kid actor who was that good at such a young age, deserves another shot in the game. So since Brandon has been off of the scene for a minute we decided to make a few suggestions of what TV shows/films we think he would fit in perfectly.
He could play the role of “Lucious Lyons'” estranged son by another woman he cheated on “Cookie” with. This son could be a record label rival who eventually joins forces with the other Lyons family members to get revenge at “Lucious” for what he did to them…just a suggestion.
Orange Is The New Black
Honestly it doesn’t matter what role Brandon lands, but we just wanna see him back on the screen again. Maybe one day, but only time will tell.
Aside from that, Brandon had to also step up to raise his brother after their beloved Mother passed away when his brother was just 15 years old. He posted a touching message about this for his brother’s 20th birthday last year (2016)…
Happy Birthday to my brother, @tempaboiiflex! It wasn't but five years ago you were just turning 15 and we had just lost Mom a few moths prior. I was unsure of the greater responsibility that befell me; the responsibly of being 'more' to you than *just* your big brother. I took it seriously and, while I'm sure I made mistakes along the way, I hope you feel like I've done a solid enough job. I've just tried to be a good example to you of the kind of man that Mom would want us to be. Thankfully, with help from family and friends, you're a high school graduate with a job and you're a young man who's now officially in his 20's [I'm old, lol]! Let's keep it going, bro!😃 I'm proud of you; Mom would be proud. I love you. Happy Birthday!🎉 #brotherlylove #littlebro #bigbro #brothers #birthdayboy #biglittlebro #littlebigbro #HappyBirthday
Although we’d love to see Brandon Hammond acting again, it’s good to see the brotha enjoying life and doing what makes him happy these days.
