The beloved Prince would have turned 59 years young on Wednesday, June 7th, 2017. In honor of his birthday, his only full sibling, Tyka Nelson, paid homage to her late big bro’ with an emotional musical tribute. She released a new song for Prince, titled “End of the Road” and in the video she included rare or never-before-seen family photos of Prince, as well as images of his Paisley Park home.

In case y’all haven’t heard by now, Tyka has long since been releasing independent records to push her music career ever since the late 80’s/early 90’s.

This latest release obviously has far more sentimental value to it, other than just Tyka pushing her music and building her brand. She lost her brother- whom she loved dearly- on April 21, 2016 and that is a void she’ll never be able to fill again. Our continued condolences go out to Tyka and the rest of she and Prince’s siblings. Check out her video tribute below…

By the way, other loved ones of Prince’s paid homage to the Purple One on Wednesday as well, including his ex-fiancee’/drummer, Sheila E..  She took to Twitter to express the love that still runs deep in her soul for Prince, the man who helped guide her career and once proposed to her live on stage without any of the audience knowing:
