See Why Whoopi Says She’s “Glad” About Cosby’s Arrest

fb whoopi and cosbyYesterday (1-4-2016) Whoopi Goldberg and the other View co-hosts, including Raven-Symone, discussed Bill Cosby’s recent arrest on sexual allegations charges. While this was one of the rare occasions where we actually got to witness Raven be almost as quiet as a mouse on a topic (y’all know Raven has a tendency to speak her mind), we got to see Whoopi in her typical, honest, outspoken form.
raven and co host While discussing what they thought about Cosby finally getting arrested and having to be tried in a court of the law, Whoopi admitted that she was “glad” it finally happened, but not for the reasons that you might think.

Keep in mind that when a few of the first allegations hit a while back against Cosby, Whoopi was one of the first public figures to stand up for Cosby on national TV. Cosby subsequently shot her a thank you message on social media for that. But after more women claimed they too were sexually assaulted by Cosby, Whoopi kind of fell back with her support, but still kept it real with TV viewers and gave her honest thoughts on the matter when she stated that she wanted to hear his side of the story and that it was time for Bill Cosby to either “speak up, or shut up,” because things were starting to look pretty bad for him, because he wasn’t saying anything one way, or the other about it.
the view Now Whoopi is saying this:

“Look, I’m glad it’s happening, because I sorta feel like, whenever you have people saying, ‘This is what happened, this is what happened, this is what happened,’ I want the court. I want to hear it. I want everybody to be able to ask the questions. We’ve heard a lot, but we have not heard anything from his side.”

Whoopi makes a good point, because at least now that Cosby is forced to testify, or at least have his lawyers tell his side of what went down with his accuser, there will probably be a lot more clarity brought into this sex scandal. One thing is for certain, Cosby will NOT be accepting any plea deals according to his attorney, Monique Pressley. Atty. Pressley said this about Cosby: “My client is not guilty…and there will be no consideration on our part of any sort of [a plea] arrangement.”

ILOSM fam’ do you agree or disagree with what Whoopi’s saying about Cosby’s upcoming court case?
