Shanice And Husband Flex Get Choked Up While Talking About Going Broke

Posted On : November 15, 2014

Not every celeb stays on top at all times, and Shanice and Flex were no exception to that rule. The video below shows Shanice and Flex revealing how bad things actually got for them. [pull_quote_center]”I’ve had that 4 o’clock banging at the door…they’re coming to get the car. We lost our home…it ain’t no pain worst than that.”[/pull_quote_center]
Wow! That was heavy, but it’s good to see Flex and Shanice fighting through their rough patches. The bottom line is that at some point in life, we’re all going to be tested, so we shouldn’t just look at it like it’s hard times, but also like it’s an opportunity for us to build character, because those are the moments where our spirits will be broken, our hope will be crushed, and our dreams will look like their falling apart in front of our eyes, but it’s how we pull ourselves up from the lowest points of our lives and continue to fight that matters. If you’re never tested, you will never have the opportunity to build character.

In the words of Dr. Martin Luther King: “If you can’t fly, then run If you can’t run, then walk If you can’t walk, then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward.” Shanice and Flex have obviously continued to move forward and we definitely applaud them for doing so. They have a reality show titled, Flex & Shanice, on Oprah’s OWN network and they’re both rebuilding their careers – Shanice is in studio pumping out new material and Flex is getting more acting gigs now. It’s been years, but Shanice and Flex are now back in the conscious minds of their fans once again and that’s always a beautiful thing.

On a side note, Shanice has still got it! Watch her bring the noise singing Minnie Riperton’s “Loving You”.

Shanice’s “I Love Your Smile” is still a classic too…

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
