fb stevie house5Stevie Wonder was trying to come up big time when he put his 1928, 4,511-square-foot, Mediterranean style mansion up for sale. When he first bought the crib in 2009, he paid $2.407 million for it, but after he lived in it for about 4 years and put his own personal touch into it, his name alone allowed Stevie to damn near triple the asking price for it to a whopping $8.199 million! Talk about a come up!

The Los Feliz, Cali home sits on a 44 acre lot in a private, gated estate and as you can imagine, it’s LAID! We’re not sure if Stevie ever got the price he was asking for, but it’s very likely that he at least got an amount close to it, after all he is the Stevie Wonder!
little stevie wonderStevie will simply add that profit to the rest of the multi-millions he has in the bank that date back to the ends he’s been stacking up from way back in his Little Stevie days…it must be nice! It’s a beautiful thing seeing a man, who had all the odds stacked against him, be able to dominate in an industry that is oftentimes based on such superficial elements, as opposed to the art itself. Stevie deserves everything he gets – from the homes, to the accolades he’s earned. Go ‘head Stevie!

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
