Now that most of us, New Edition fans, have seen their BET biopic, we’re pretty familiar with the youngin’ who portrayed Ronnie DeVoe’s brother, Roland DeVoe (Ace Hunt) in the movie. He was kid in the scene who laughed hysterically at ‘young Ronnie’ (Myles Truitt) as he danced in the mirror, trying to get his moves right for his N.E.  audition. What some may not know though, is that Ronnie’s younger brother, Roland, is actually an identical twin to their other brother, Rob DeVoe. We were curious to see who Ronnie’s REAL twin brothers were, and after doing a lil’ digging on his very rarely-seen twin brothers, we finally found them.

MEET RONNIE DEVOE’S TWIN BROTHERS

Meet Ronnie DeVoe’s twin brothers, Rob and Roland DeVoe. The photo above is from 2007 and like we mentioned earlier, they’re identical, so we can’t decipher which one is which in that pic. But in the 2017 photo below, we know that’s Robert DeVoe. How so? Because Ronnie said it in his caption as he and Rob were giving us the classic ’90s jailhouse pose’ next to the New Edition Hollywood Walk of Fame star…

Make some noise if you, like some of us here at ILOSM, are guilty of doing that Old School jailhouse pose in some of your throwback pics too. Anyways, Rob and Roland pretty much live life away from the public’s eye, so we don’t know much about them, but we have found a few more tidbits of info: They’re both married and Roland has a grown son who likes to hang out with his famous uncle Ronnie sometimes. RONNIE TELLS WHAT ROBERT DEVOE DID FOR N.E. DURING TENSE TIMES

As we all know by now, New Edition members are often beefin’ like an old married couple, except their beef was on steroids…lasting decades, off and on. During an interview with The Breakfast Club,  Ronnie revealed what happened days before that now-infamous “Home Again” concert ,where BBD had to bum-rush the stage and damn near yank Bobby Brown off of it, as referenced in their biopic. Ronnie said he had an emergency a few days before that incident and was unable to perform. So Michael Bivins  refused to perform BBD songs without Ron, but Ricky Bell disagreed with Mike’s decision, admitting he was like, ‘F– that, I’m going make my paper.’ What ended up happening was that Ronnie’s brother, Robert (who was on the road with them), dressed up as Ronnie and went out on stage with Ricky as BBD, the duo, because Mike refused to do it! HILARIOUS! Maaaaan, I wish I would have been a fly on the wall that day! Check it out in the video above, they start talking about this at the 3:28 mark.

Boy, time flies! It seems like only yesterday Ronnie DeVoe was makin’ his debut with New Edition as a young teenager. Now, he’s 50-years-old! To celebrate his big day, he threw a star-studded birthday bash over the weekend. Of course, Ricky Bell and Michael Bivins were in the building but they weren’t the only people there to help Ronnie celebrate. Everyone you could possibly think of was in the building and Ronnie even had a few surprise performances.

A Night To Remember:

The birthday celebration held at REVEL in West Midtown Atlanta also featured surprise performances from Cherelle, Kelly Price, 112 and Damion Hall. The publication also reports that the star-studded guest list included “Tigger (V103 on-air host), Tichina Arnold, Stevie J, Hiriam Hicks, Trina Braxton, Egypt Sherrod (HGTV), DJ Fadelf, Headkrack (Dish Nation/Rickey Smiley Morning Show), Kiana Dancie (co-host, “Sister Circle Live”), Gocha Hawkins, Sabrina Rowe, Sharlinda Parker, Shanti Das, Donald Woodard (USA Track & Field), Rennie Curran (former NFL athlete), Teresa Caldwell, Sheri Riley (author and motivational speaker), Vanessa Fraction (comedian), Kore Stacks and DJ E-Clazz on the turntables.”

But the night wouldn’t be complete without the guys taking the stage. Ronnie, Ricky, and Mike also performed Bell Biv DeVoe and New Edition hits like “Poison” and “N.E. Heartbreak.”

What A Time To Be Alive:

Ronnie’s birthday party comes just a few weeks after he and his wife, Shamari, welcomed twins. On October 31, Ronnie shared the first public photos of their children in their Halloween costumes. Then, the next day he shared a few more photos.

According to Ebony magazine, the couple has yet to reveal the names of their twins but one thing is for sure: they are absolutely adorable. Congratulations to Ronnie and his wife!

It’s been a long wait ILOSM fam,’ but New Edition’s Ronnie DeVoe and his wife, Shamari, have finally decided that the world meets their twin baby boys. As we previously reported, The DeVoe’s had their twins in July of this year (2017).

For the most part, they’ve remained radio silent about precise details regarding their babies- such as their names and their specific born day- but they have given their fans round-about specifics. For example, ever since announcing that their babies entered the world, the first time parents have been referring to them as @DeVoeTwins, instead of as their actual first names. After taking a mysterious hiatus from social media between July 10th and July 30th, they made a delayed birth announcement, without giving any details about Shamari’s well being, nor their children.

Their need for privacy is very understandable, not all celebs wanna broadcast every aspect of their lives, nor should they be expected to. But we’re glad they’re finally letting the world see their mini-DeVoes

Ever since their birth announcement though, fans have been getting hella anxious to see the “@DevoeTwins” and became increasingly more aggressive with their online requests to Ronnie as time went on. If you didn’t already know, Ronnie is a pretty avid social media user, which gives his fans far more opportunities to shoot him messages on his online posts. These days, no matter what type of picture, meme, or video Ronnie posts, it’a almost guaranteed there will be comments from fans, urging him to show his baby boys once and for all.

Well, fans no longer have to wait, because their two lil’ men were just posted on their very own Instagram page, chillin’ in their furry Halloween pumpkin onesies. Ladies and gentlemen, meet “@DeVoeTwins”…

They look exactly like Ronnie don’t they?!! Well, on second thought, they look exactly like Shamari, right?!! Hol’ up…they look EXACTLY like BOTH, Ronnie and Shamari…especially since the Mr. and Mrs. always did look like they could be siblings, or at least play-cousins, with their uncanny resemblance.

Anywho, the most important factor in all of this, is that the “@DevoeTwins” are happy and healthy. They’re also damn near celebrities themselves, after all of the anticipation that’s built up about them. With their own social media page, they’re gonna have thousands of fans before they can barely digest solid foods in their little tummies…LOL. Looking forward to seeing what wonderful journey life has in store for Ronnie’s and Shamari’s mini-me’s. Congrats to the DeVoes once again and be sure to follow their babies on Instagram.

Their Past Pregnancy Updates & Announcements

Many New Edition/BBD fans recall when Ronnie (49) and his wife/Blaque singer, Shamari DeVoe (37), made their initial baby announcement back in February 2017. Fans were excited for the first time parents. Then the DeVoe’s hit us with bigger news in May, when they revealed that they were expecting not one, but TWO mini-me’s.

By June, came what Shamari called the “the best Gender Reveal Announcement Ever!” That happened when Ronnie announced, to both Shamari and the world, what gender their babies were gonna be, during a BET New Edition performance. They performed on stage in front of backdrop that was lit up in the color blue and Ronnie shouted into the mic, “Shamari rub your belly for those two boys for me baby!” Check that out below…

At that time, they hadn’t announced how far along they were in their pregnancy, but based on the photos they shared, it was pretty evident that Shamari was pretty far along in her pregnancy.

As months went by, Shamari was just as beautiful as ever and rocked her pregnant swag very well. She and Ronnie did several photo shoots to capture those precious moments for their babies to eventually see. Their fans were also enjoying the pregnancy updates that Ronnie and Shamari would regularly post on social media.

The updates suddenly came to a screeching halt after July 10th though, which was the last pregnancy photoshoot they shared online, with this caption:

Their Mysterious Silence

The DeVoe’s then went uncharacteristically radio silent on social media and fans started wondering if the babies and Shamari were okay. By July 30th, Ronnie only posted a photo of a baby’s hand, holding an adult’s finger, along with a bible verse. All the while, fans were leaving comments asking if everything there was any trouble of any kind with the babies or Shamari. They still never got a reply from Ronnie, nor Shamari.

However, about a month later, Ronnie finally resurfaced on social media and eventually confirmed that he was officially a daddy to their twin babies. He didn’t show any photos, nor give the names of their baby boys, other than referring to them as “@DeVoeTwins”…but fans were super excited just to see all of them happy.

Shamari DeVoe’s Quick Snap-back Body

Fast forward to now and Shamari has finally reappeared at N.E.’s Ricky Bell’s 50th birthday celebration and surprised their fans with her snap-back body. It all went down on September 27th. Here are a few of the photos:

If our guest-imations are correct, The DeVoe’s had their boys some time between July 10th and July 30th. That would mean that by the time Shamari attended Ricky’s b-day party, lookin’ like her throwback pre-baby self, at best case scenario (if she gave birth on July 10th), she was only 11 weeks post baby birth. At worst case scenario (if she delivered on July 30th) she was just 8 weeks post baby birth, when she cheesed it up for the cameras at the Sept. 27th b-day shindig.

Daaaaamn Shamari! Either her workout regimen is intense, or she’s got some MEAN bounce-back genes…or maybe it’s a little bit of both. Whatever it is, props to Shamari DeVoe, because she looks great and most importantly, we’re very happy that Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie DeVoe’s baby boys are healthy.

Remember when Ronnie DeVoe (49) and his wife/Blaque group singer, Shamari (37), made their initial announcement that she was pregnant with their first child back in February (2017)? Well news flash ILOSM fam,’ The DeVoe’s have another message for y’all and we’re very happy for them…

Not only are they having one baby, but TWO! On Tuesday (May 18th), Ronnie took to Instagram to share the news with his fans and also a few pics of them having a lil’ fun in front the camera with Shamari’s baby bump. With two little mini-me’s on the way, Ronnie and Shamari are most definitely gonna have their hands full as first time parents. But they have a lotta love and a lotta family to pitch in. For one, Ronnie comes from a huge family and they all seem really close. From his two twin brothers, to his moms, whom he calls ‘Mom Dukes,’ to his many cousins, aunts, and uncles…the DeVoe’s alone, got that babysitting game on lock. Pretty sure Shamari’s fam’ will be helping out too.

By the way, now that the DeVoe’s are having kids, that only leaves one New Edition member who is still without child at this time- Ricky Bell. We’re not sure if Ricky (49) and his wife, Amy Correa (34), want children or not, but one thing is for sure, between Ricky’s N.E. brothers’ 18 kids combined (Bobby: 7; Ralph: 4; Mike: 4; Johnny: 1; Ronnie: 2)- he and Amy have more than enough N.E. babies to shower with love.

Well looka here! New Edition’s Ronnie DeVoe (49) just shook up the world with a big announcement to his fans! He and his 37 year old wife/Blaque singer, Shamari, are about to be Mommy and Daddy for the very first time! Congratulations to the happy couple! Now this only leaves Ricky Bell and his wife, Amy, as the last New Edition couple in the no child zone. Will we be hearing baby rattles and goo-goo sounds in their future anytime soon as well? Only time will tell…

But for now, we wish Mr. and Mrs. DeVoe a happy, healthy baby! And we’re sure his mother, Flo DeVoe, is as happy as can be.
