Toni Braxton stunned everybody and their mommas a few months ago, when she confirmed that she her “#1 Stunna” boo-thang, Birdman, officially became her fiancees. Well, it’s now been months since the Cash Money mogul has placed that big rock on Toni B.’s finger, yet there are still zero plans on when they’ll be taking that big walk down the aisle, that one could only imagine will be a lavish blend of rose petals, mink fur, red everything (Birdman’s signature Blood gang affiliated color), and diamond encrusted everything.
Okay, I’ve just projected my visions of a #1 Stunna type wedding, but at this point I’m probably getting ahead of myself anyhow, because based on what Toni has just revealed, it’s uncertain if there will even be a wedding in the near future.
Toni Tells Why They’re Not Married Yet
In a recent episode of “Braxton Family Values,” Toni Braxton chopped it up with her sisters about why she’s had to constantly push her wedding back. She and Birdman have yet to move forward with wedding plans after their lengthy engagement, which by the way, was even longer than most of us ever knew:
“Y’all gotta help me with the wedding,” Toni told Towanda and Trina. “I don’t have a wedding date. B (Birdman) and I got engaged seven months ago, but we haven’t set a date because of my schedule. I hate that. You’re supposed to set a date and stick to it. But unfortunately in our business it can be challenging sometimes.”
When it comes to love, sometimes, tour dates, business meetings, and public appearances have to take a back seat, just saying.
In an equally interesting revelation, Toni stated that they originally wanted their wedding date to be August 8, 2018 (8-8-18) and Toni’s sisters revealed that Birdman wanted to tattoo those numbers onto his forehead. Not sure if her sisters were right about that latter revelation, but it isn’t farfetched for the brotha because he’s been tatted up for years. So, a new forehead decoration would fit right in with the rest of ’em.
Anywho, Toni and Birdman have come too far- in spite of all of the ‘Say what now’s?’ and ‘Are they REALLY a thing?’ type questions they’ve received from many- to allow themselves to stall the marriage process now. Their fans are ready to sit back with their popcorn and be entertained by what we already know will be one of the most stunna-fied (not a real word, but y’all get it), blinged out weddings of the century.

We all know the Braxton family is filled with talent, but Toni Braxton’s and Keri Lewis’ (formerly of Mint Condition) son, Diezel is proving the Braxton ladies aren’t the only ones makin’ moves. According to BCK Online, the Grammy Award-winning singer’s youngest son just inked a major deal that will likely open many doors for his career.
Welcome To Wilhelmina:
On June 29, Toni took to Instagram with a photo of her son, to congratulate him on his new modeling contract with Wilhelmina Modeling Agency. “Congrats Diezy @diezel.braxton on signing to Wilhelmina Modeling Agency!!!” Toni wrote. For those who don’t know, Wilhelmina is a very big deal. Many of the world’s most notable beauty and fashion brands have turned to Wilhelmina for models. So Diezel is well on his way to solidifying his career in the modeling world. However, the latest milestone is bigger than modeling for his mother as it has a deeper significance.
The latest news about Diezel follows a string of reports where Toni has spoken about her son’s autism. When she became an ambassador for Autism Speaks, she began raising awareness about autism. During a past discussion about her son’s condition, she credited early diagnosis to 100 Day Tool Kit from Autism Speaks for her son’s development. “I remember the signs: like no eye contact, very little communication, just little things and I said ‘hmm,'” Toni recalled.
“Autism Speaks is the first organization that reached out to me and said, ‘Look. These are the tools that you need to get your baby on the right track.'” In her memoir, she admitted there were times when she blamed herself for her son’s autism. “As a parent you always feel, was there something I could have done differently. But what I’ve come to understand through my friends at Autism Speaks, is there is nothing wrong with our babies, and it’s nothing you’ve done or you could have done differently, it’s just what the situation is.”

Over the years, Diezel has had his share of obstacles with autism and Toni has also revealed how her son has evolved. Not only has Diezel been involved in modeling, he’s also done acting work and even appeared in the Lifetime film Twist of Faith with his mother. Toni revealed Diezel, who was 9 at the time, was supposed to have a larger role in the film portraying the role of her son, but school and other obstacles prohibited him from starring in the film. Even then, he was making progress with autism.
“He was supposed to play my son initially but by the time we worked out the shooting schedule, school had started,” Braxton said of 9-year-old Diezel. (She also has an 11-year-old named Denim.) “Even though he’s considered high functioning right now, he wasn’t in the past, and that’s why I thought him carrying the movie and trying to do the movie and tutoring would have been too much for him,” the 45-year-old singer said.

During a previous interview with Essence magazine, Toni explained how things have gotten much better for her son. Back in 2016, Toni revealed Diezel no longer shows signs of autism. “As everyone knows, my son Diezel suffers from – or I should say suffered from autism,” Toni revealed. “He [has] no signs of autism,” she added.

Toni Braxton’s sister, Towanda Braxton, is standing up for her, after the tons of backlash Toni recently received. As we previously reported, Toni caught a lotta flack a few weeks ago, when fans accused her of going overboard with plastic surgery. It all started after Toni shared the below photo of herself, seated in a car and gazing into the camera. It was her nose that caught most of the attention though…
One commenter wrote, “Looks great…no more nose work though…unless she going to go back and add some..🙄. While another said, “smh cmon Toniiii! We was rooting for you!”
Well now, Towanda is defending Toni B. and denying her sister’s had any plastic surgery at all. According to Towanda, Toni’s slimmer nose looked that way because of her Lupus disease. Here’s what she said when asked if her big sis’ had surgery on her nose:
Towanda:”Nooo! Toni has Lupus. So when you’re on Lupus, you take steroids and with the steroids…it fluctuates your weight. Sometimes she has to be on steroids and sometimes she has to be off of steroids. So it fluctuates her weight. And because she has Lupus, she can’t have anything foreign in her body. So Toni can’t get, like Botox, she can’t get any of that because it’s synthetic. Anything synthetic can make her sick.”
She continued:
“You know what? I think that people should do their research…they should research different diseases, you know. ‘Cause Lupus is no joke.” …] People are gonna talk about you, whether you do good or bad, but you now…she’s 50 years old and looks amazing. People just can’t understand how she’s 50 ands she looks so amazing.”
Towanda spoke her mind, didn’t she? Respect to her for that.
I also took Towanda’s advice and did a lil’ research on Lupus. According to many plastic surgeons, people with Lupus can, in fact, get nose jobs, Botox, and other fillers. The plastic surgeons also stated that Lupus does not automatically disqualify one from having types of those procedures, which many Lupus patients have gotten.
Now, I luhhs me some Towanda Braxton, Lawd knows I do *in my “Ms. Sofia” voice.* However, I have to be real. She could very well be telling the truth about Toni not having a new nose job, but her explanation about Toni’s Lupus hindering her from plastic surgery, may make some fans give her the side eye. That is, if they also take her advice and do some quick research of their own.
Anywho, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- new nose, or no new nose, I’m just happy that Toni Braxton is happy. And besides, as long as her soon to be husband, Birdman, likes it, then that’s all the “respeck on her name” Toni will ever need.

The Status On Toni & Birdman’s Relationship

Toni and her Cash Money mogul bae, Birdman, are still going just as strong as ever. They’re happily engaged and reportedly planning their wedding. Although they’re love seems weird to some, Toni and Mr. ‘Respeck on my name’ couldn’t care less what folks have to say.
In fact, the “Un-break My Heart” singer is still gushing about her man in interviews and such. During a recent People interview, Toni reminisced about all the things that made her fall in love with Birdman. Turns out, Birdman helped her celebrate some of the most precious times of her marriage to Keri Lewis (formerly of Mint Condition)- their kids’ baby showers.
“He’s been my bestie for like 15 or 16 years,” Braxton tells People in this week’s issue of the rapper. “He has come to my baby showers, my plays, my shows. I never thought we would be dating or getting married.”
Years later, Birdman became Toni’s number one supporter, as she tried to battle Lupus disease, while maintaining her career. She admitted that she found it “comforting to have someone tell you it’s okay to be ill and that you don’t have to be Wonder Woman at all times.” Then Birdman eventually made his move on Toni in 2016, which surprised the hell outta her:
“In 2016, I was doing a little tour just testing the market [to see] how far my endurance could go – and I got ill just before we went out,” Braxton says of the beginning of their relationship, when rumors first sparked after they were spotted getting cozy at the 2016 BET Awards. “Every day I had a show, he came,” she adds. “Every night he would ask me, ‘Are you okay? Are you good?’ I said, ‘Oh my God, he’s such a great guy!’” When Birdman finally made his move, “He told me he always liked me and I was like, ‘You never told me!’ And he’s like, ‘Well, you were married!’ He said, ‘I was always digging you.’”

Word on the Old School curb is that Toni done kicked Tay Tay off of her upcoming “Sex & Cigarettes” tour, just weeks after reportedly giving her other sister, Traci Braxton, the boot from it. Apparently, there are bigger reasons behind this and it is said to have a LOT to do with Tamar and her estranged hubby/manager, Vincent “Vince” Herbert.

What Had Happened Was…
Toni B. is reportedly has been kicking her sisters off of her tour left and right, as a result of all the mayhem and ruckus Tamar’s drama with her estranged husband has caused. These days, it seems that the Braxton family can’t stand him- especially Mama Braxton, who’s been draggin’ Vince from here to Timbuktu with claims that he beats her daughter and she fears for Tamar’s life.
Now, it seems that the Braxton fam’ aren’t the only ones who are sick n’ tired of the Tamar-Vince BS, so are the tour promoters, according to TMZ:
We’re now told promoters also don’t want to deal with Tamar’s divorce drama — so they dropped her from the tour, too. Important to note, Vince is still Tamar’s manager. As of now, we’re told there’s no replacement yet to open for Toni. The clock’s ticking … we’re told the tour will kick off May 22.

News about Toni kickin’ Tamar off of her tour, came just one day after reports surfaced about
yet another hostile altercation between Tamar and Vince. It was reported that security officers had to kick Vince outta Tamar’s high rise apartment building and ban him from the property, following a very heated argument with her. Here’s what was reported by TMZ:
Sources familiar with the matter tell us, Tamar and Vincent Herbert got into a heated argument Tuesday night that got so out of hand, security at her Bev Hills condo escorted him out and told him he’s no longer allowed in the building. […] We’re told building security acted so swiftly, cops weren’t needed, but Vince was told if he returns … cops WILL be there, stat!
As she’s been known to do when it comes to the hostile and oftentimes volatile reports -which have surfaced on numerous occasions about them- Tamar gave a different version of the story, in a quick post-and-delete on Instagram, according to Celebrity Insider:
“Now, had you asked me what happened, you would have found out that while i was in the shower the security at the building let him in my house… Not on my floor but in MY HOUSE!! and that’s what the situation was!! Its not WHO it was its WHAT it was. Not a fight but a ‘WHAT THE F**” That would startle anyone!! I was just getting dropped off from margaritas and tacos & when you are an adult, full & drunk .. sometimes you end up with other peoples things in your purse like a phone to go through (jk).”
Vince and Tamar’s marriage has been plagued by domestic violence rumors, baby mama rumors, and cheating allegations for a while now. We’ve watched Tamar cry on TV and/or social media, over some of the rumors, while denying others. Vince has denied them all. Not sure what’s really going on between the soon-to-be-exes, but the ongoing tension between them is starting to mess with their money. That’s never a good thing for- them, nor for their 4 year old son, Logan. So hopefully, they can find a calm resolution soon.

As we all have heard by now, Tamar Braxton done stirred up all kinds of drama with her sisters, over her soon-to-be-ex-husband, Vincent Herbert. She recently accused her sisters and mother of attempting to paint a scrub-like image of Vince on their upcoming episodes of “Braxton Family Values.”
Her sisters have publicly hit back at Tamar’s claims and the tension among the ladies is apparently ongoing. That’s where Toni’s latest move comes in. Apparently, she’s decided to keep the reported ‘fire starter,’ Tamar on the tour and kick Traci off instead:

We’re told Traci’s been working on a new album and intended to perform some of those songs on the tour … so, she doesn’t think Toni would 86 her on her own. Still, Tamar’s team is denying she had anything to do with it.

(1) Do you think self proclaimed “petty” diva, Tamar, actually had something to do with Traci being given the boot?

(3) Or did Toni think Traci wasn’t quite ready -from a show performance standpoint- to open up for her yet?

Traci Braxton Still Has Reason To Celebrate In MAJOR Way
Traci also has a good reason to celebrate, despite getting booted off Toni’s tour. As we previously reported, Traci’s about to become a grandmother for the first time. Her son, Kevin Surrant Jr. and his girlfriend are expecting. Even though Traci jokingly admitted that she was pissed off and wanted to “punch” them when they first told her they were pregnant, she’s elated about her new grandbaby now.

Toni Braxton is at the center of yet another financial ordeal. This time, Toni’s having a problem with the Department of Internal Revenue Service (IRS). According to The Blast, ‘Uncle Sam’ claims Toni B. owes hundreds of thousands of dollars and now he’s lookin’ to collect.
It has been reported that court documents have offered a detailed breakdown of the taxes owed and penalties Toni Braxton is currently facing. Toni reportedly owes the state of California and the federal government a combined $780,808.29 for the 2015 and 2016 tax years.

Past Bankruptcies:
Over the years, Toni Braxton has definitely had her share of financial trouble. The latest news follows Toni’s years of battling bankruptcies. For those who don’t know, the Grammy Award-winning singer filed bankruptcy in 1998 and again in 2010. Back in 1998, Toni spoke publicly about her bankruptcy when she appeared on “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” When asked what led to her downward spiral, she broke it down and explained how financial advances from her record label led to many different conflicts. In 2012, Toni revealed she’d only received a royalty check of $1,972.00 for her first album despite the project selling more than 5 million copies in the United States and more than 10 million units worldwide. Record label advances reportedly ate up most of the earnings from that album.
Toni also revealed how her lavish spending habits also contributed to the problem. “I love dishes and house things, so I kind of lost it a little bit on the houseware,” she said, adding that she fell in love with “girly things” like plates, Faberge eggs, and 1,000 thread-count sheets. “That’s what I indulged in. I loved that part of it,” she said. “I’m a little odd.”
Even Oprah was shocked to hear some of the things Toni said at the time. In fact, years later, Toni admitted she felt Oprah was very mean to her during that interview. “She was so frickin’ mean to me, I was in shock,” Braxton recounted in a taped segment for the music series, “Behind the Music.” “I couldn’t believe it because I loved her so much…She pretty much reprimanded me.”

Unexpected Financial Problems:
After filing for bankruptcy in the late 90s, it took Toni Braxton a couple years to bounce back but through it all, she managed to move forward. However, the stable moment was short-lived and it actually had very little to do with spending habits. The second time around, Toni’s health was a big part of the issue. Toni had secured a deal to do shows in Vegas, but her health forced her to cancel many of the shows. Unfortunately for Toni, contractual agreements led to lawsuits from vendors. Just one month after renewing the contracts, she fell ill.
“The doctors told me I would never be able to perform. They said, one or two songs, here and there, occasionally,” she recalled. “The Vegas show, I just renewed all my contracts with all my vendors, and then a month later I got sick,” she said. “Because you’re supposed to be smarter. People expect for you to be smarter,” Braxton said.
The lawsuits from the contractors forced Toni to file bankruptcy yet again. Hopefully, the latest situation she’s facing will be resolved soon, so Uncle Sam doesn’t swarm through Toni’s house and jack everything except the four walls, air mattresses, and a can of sardines. Y’all know the IRS does NOT play! Over the past few months, Tamar Braxton and her estranged husband, Vince Herbert, have been making headlines for all kinds of drama. For the past couple weeks, there have been more rumors about the couple making plans to reconcile but it’s not all of what it seems.

Her Confession:
As we previously reported, when Tamar and Vince appeared on The View last Friday, they openly discussed the issues in their dwindling marriage. However, Tamar revealed an interesting fact about the rumors circulating about Vince having a love child. For those who missed all that drama, there was a messy triangle involving Tamar, Vince, and former Basketball Wives reality star, Laura Govan. But despite all the rumors and the so-called incriminating evidence, it was discovered that Vince doesn’t have another baby on the way. Surprisingly, Tamar admitted that she jumped the gun when she took to Instagram to blast her husband about the alleged love child. She even admitted that she regrets listening to her friends who claimed the rumor was true. When asked about the rumors, Vince blamed all of the drama on his soon-to-be ex-wife’s so-called “friends.” “People are miserable and if they see you happy they don’t want that,” Vince said.
But Don’t Get It Twisted…:
Despite Tamar’s confession and Vince blasting the singer’s friends in agreement, she made it clear that the love child is not the only reason why she chose to file for divorce. She revealed she filed for divorce because “we’re together each and every single day, we’re attached at the hip and it just got to be too much,” Tamar admitted. She also decided to go a little deeper with her explanation. According to E! News, the “Love & War” singer broke it all the way down. “I wish mine wasn’t real, I wish I could say that a lot of the times it’s made up, just so I could hide behind the truth sometimes,” Tamar shared with the co-hosts. “But in this situation, I absolutely have no reason to lie about my marriage and the things that’s happening in my marriage for ratings. I think that’s disgusting and I would never sell my soul to the devil like that.”

The Tamar & Vince star went on to reveal she and Vince are no different from the lyrics in John Legend’s classic ballad. They’re just “Ordinary People.” She continued, “I have a regular marriage and regular marriages like everybody else, things happen and in my marriage you know it was just to a point where I felt like divorce was the only option that I had left. Although we’re in extensive counseling and that is much needed and it still will always be, but I think the bigger picture of everything is that we have a responsibility to my amazing 4-year-old son and just to raise him in the most comfortable, amazing, loving, secure household that we can. Living Separate Lives:
Tamar and Vince’s appearance on The View aired days before new reports surfaced about their Calabasas home. According to The Jasmine Brand, the couple has removed their home from the real estate market and re-listed it as a rental property. It has been reported that the couple is looking to rent out the sprawling mansion for a whopping $150,000. Yes, you read that right; $150,000 a month is the rental price tag for the home. So, it doesn’t look like they’ll be selling it anytime soon. Could it mean there’s still a chance for Tamar and Vince? While Tamar claims it’s a done deal, there’s one person close to her who isn’t totally convinced the marriage is over.
Toni Tellin’ It Like It Is?:
According to BET, Tamar’s big sis,’ Toni has a different take on all the drama. Although she made it clear she wouldn’t go into detail, the Grammy Award-winning singer isn’t convinced her sister and brother-in-law are completely over each other. “I think Tamar and Vince are just going through a ‘I hate you, Jody’ phase,” she said. “Remember the movie [Baby Boy]? ‘I hate you, Jody!’ You know that’s just their phase. And I think those two are going to get back together.” She added, “It’s not my business to tell their business,” she asserted, “but if I knew, I wouldn’t say anything.”
Not Here For It:
The couple may be amicable in order to co-parent and maintain their professional lives, but there very well could be a possibility they’ll reconcile. However, the Braxton family matriarch, Evelyn Braxton, ain’t trying to hear none of that. Mama Braxton made it clear Vince needs to stay his distance from her daughter and keep his hands off of her. After the domestic violence claims, the Braxton Family Values star spilled so much tea about the abuse her daughter suffered she sparked a media firestorm. During her quick chat with TMZ, she said quite a bit. “I’m tired of [Tamar] being abused and misused,” she said. “I love Vince, but I don’t want him to kill my child.”

A close friend of the Braxton family also shared similar details with Hollywood Life, “Tamar [Braxton]‘s family is very worried that she’s taken Vincent [Herbert] back again,” a friend of the family said. “This cycle had happened so many times already that it’s almost expected but that doesn’t make it less devastating. Tamar is insisting that she’s not back with him but her actions tell a different story. Her mom is beside herself with worry over her daughter and her grandson. Page Six reported that the champagne was flowing as party goers dined on gnudi (a cheese-filled dumpling) with caviar and peppered filet mignon. The event was held at Landmark Rooms where guests enjoyed the four-course meal prepared by The Grill. Guests were reportedly decked out in tuxedos and gowns while Rihanna took center stage in some hot off the runway couture.

The “Wild Thoughts” singer celebrated with family and close friends including Paris Hilton and members of her Roc Nation family like executives Shawn Pecas and OG Juan Perez (who just celebrated his 50th birthday with Jay Z on Sunday night). Hilton took to her Instagram page to say that she had an amazing time at Rihanna’s party.

After dinner, the party moved out to the Landmark Pool where none other than Toni Braxton performed a six-song set. Reportedly, Rihanna is a huge fan of Toni’s and was over the moon that she would come and help her celebrate. Saudi billionaire boyfriend Jameel was said to be very attentive as he remained close by the singer’s side the entire evening. A source told Page Six that Rihanna is “really into her boyfriend Hassan” and that “they seemed to be really close all night.”

Rihanna has already claimed her thirties to be the best years of her life. She captioned an Instagram photo of herself holding a glass of champagne enjoying the well-wishing onlookers.

Although Toni Braxton initially denied the engagement rumors, her sister Tamar had been droppin’ hints all over social media. According to Celebrity Insider, Tamar has been calling the five-star stunna her brother-in-law for months, which led fans to believe Toni and Birdman were either engaged or already secretly married. Of course, Tamar’s statement led to tons of questions for Toni. During a recent interview, Toni adamantly refuted the rumors claiming Tamar just has a “big mouth.” But this time, it looks like Tamar was just spillin’ the tea and tellin’ it like it is.
