In case you’ve missed it, Hollywood juggernaut Harvey Weinstein is under fire for multiple sexual assault allegations. And, it even brings out a confession from Terry Crews.

On Tuesday, October 10, Crews took to Twitter to finally tell the world of his own sexual assault encounter.

It happened last year at an entertainment function. Terry says he and his wife were attending the event, when suddenly, a “high-level Hollywood executive” walked over to him and grabbed him by the genitals.

Mind you, this was in front of his wife.

Jumping back I said What are you doing?! My wife saw everything n we looked at him like he was crazy. He just grinned like a jerk. (3/cont.)

And given the way things are going these days, Terry Crews’ conclusion would’ve been accurate.

That would’ve been the headline (or worse), and it probably would’ve been accompanied by several angles to Crews’ arrest.

BUT THERE’S MORE TO THE STORY

Terry mentions that the Hollywood executive called him soon after to apologize for his actions.

However, the exec didn’t offer Crews an explanation of why he was sexually groped in the first place.

Yet with the way the industry is set up, Terry decided not to pursue it further. He said he felt the industry would’ve ostracized him for coming forth about being assaulted.

This especially being the case since the one who assaulted him holds a lot of power in Hollywood.

UNDERSTANDING VICTIMS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT

According to Terry Crews, he definitely empathizes with women who choose to stay silent for similar reasons regarding sexual assault experiences. In a tweet, Crews mentions as follows.

“But sumtimes Uhav2 wait & compare notes w/ others who’ve been victimized in order 2gain a position of strength.”

As his public message came to an end, he noted that this particular executive knew exactly who he was addressing.

Moreover, he further encouraged sexual assault victims that they’re not alone in the fight.

All in all, Terry is definitely the bigger man by keeping his first instincts reserve and not pummeling the daylights out of that “high-level Hollywood executive.”

Sometimes, you have to think passed the moment and see how your actions, responses, or reactions might affect your life…as well as those around you.
