Tyrese has been having a time with the mother of his daughter. It all started when the Fast and Furious actor made headlines after he was accused of child abuse. Tyrese was investigated by the L.A. County of Department of Children and Family Services, after he was accused of beating his 10-year-old daughter, Shayla, to the point where she was unable to sit, so says his ex-wife and mother of Shayla, Norma Gibson.

According to Page Six, Norma claims the child was struck “between 12 and 16 times.” To many fans, the news came as quite a surprise, since Tyrese has always spoken fondly of his daughter and even shared videos of their candid, loving moments together online throughout the years. Tyrese has often said that he treats his daughter like a queen so that she’ll know how she should be treated by a man. However, his ex-wife Norma, is telling a different side of the story. But despite all of the drama, Tyrese is still fighting for the most important women in his life. He recently brought fans to tears with emotional messages to his mother and daughter.

To Shayla:

After leaving court on yesterday, Tyrese took to Instagram with a heartfelt message to his daughter. He posted a photo of himself holding his daughter’s dog, Roman. He captured the photo:

For those who missed it, Tyrese also made headlines after he flew a banner that read “Daddy Loves You Shayla,” over his daughter’s school recently. Although he may have thought it was a heartfelt gesture, he reportedly angered his ex-wife and according to her legal team, it also left his daughter mortified. Norma’s attorney also argues that the action was a violation of the restraining order. “This disturbing behavior is a complete violation of the Restraining Order,” Norma’s lawyer, Aleen Khanjian, told The Blast. “It is a reflection of Mr. Gibson’s erratic state of mind.”

Many fans have shared their opinion of Tyrese’s post and his actions. Surprisingly, there are lots of social media users who actually feel for the man. But most agree the saddest part about the situation centers around his daughter and how she’s been placed in the middle of this legal battle.

The latest news follows Tyrese’s touching message to his mother. As we previously reported, the “Sweet Lady” singer recently purchased his Moms a new hime after being sober for 11 years. But what hadn’t been released until now, is an in depth video that showed his mother’s reaction and the very emotional words they said to each other. She cried tears of joy. Fans were also moved to tears by Tyrese’s heartfelt surprise for his mother and it leads many fans to question the allegations against him regarding his daughter.
