You Gotta See Young Ricky From Boyz N Da Hood Now! His Brother’s Famous Too

We all remember the kid who played played “young Ricky” on Boyz N’ The Hood right? He was younger version of Morris Chestnut’s character in the film and one of his most memorable scenes was when the gangsta dude took his football and then beat up his brother, “Doughboy” (Ice Cube), over it.

“Young Ricky’s” name is Dononvan and he’s a grown man now. It’s funny how time seems to stand still when we think of child actors if they didn’t grow up in the spotlight and become adult actors as well. We always picture them as looking the exact same way as they did back in the day, don’t we?

“Young Ricky” Ain’t 12 No More

As you can see based on the pics below, time has flown by and “Young Ricky” ain’t 12 no more.

BAM!!! His brother is actor, Darius McCrary, a.k.a. “Eddie Winslow” from Family Matters! Now that we see them side by side, it’s easy to tell that they are definitely brothers. Darius and Donovan  are very close and they are now very involved in music. They’re actually in a group together called “D List”, which according to PledgeTheMusic, ‘is a collection of notable musicians, producers, and engineers.

Who woulda thunk it?!! It’s been all these years and we never even knew they knew each other. They come from a very talented family, that’s for sure.

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
