Bobby Brown also shared that he was truly touched by how so many of his friends and fam’ joined him at his 49th birthday celebration. He especially thanked the iconic Stevie Wonder for joining in on the festivities with him. Bobby shared that many people call him Stevie, but he refers to him as Stevland (Stevie Wonder’s birth name), because he respects him as a man. To top off the party celebration, Stevie Wonder, along with other party goers sang Stevie’s soulful version of “Happy Birthday” to Bobby B. As many of us already know, no Black folks’ birthday celebration is complete without swapping the traditional birthday song, for Wonder’s classic version that he created for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr..

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
