Despite the backlash from die-hard New Edition fans, the success of the three-part miniseries has been through the roof. According to Billboard, the film has scored record-high BET ratings. The New Edition Story, which premiered on Tuesday, Jan. 24, garnered “4.4 million total viewers on BET, 2.6 million of those viewers in the 19-49 age range.”
