LeBronIn celebration of Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers win last night, we dug up some old footage of Lebron! Yes, there’s always a connection to the “Old School”!

LeBron James became an immediate star after skipping college to join the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers. He led the Miami Heat to NBA titles in 2012 and 2013, and last night, he won a third championship with Cleveland in 2016.

Lebron is quite an actor, and he has a profound love of music. Back when he was only a few years into his NBA career, he performed Bobby Brown’s My Prerogative at the 2007 ESPY awards show! SO FUNNY!!!

Outside of the NBA, James has worked to help others. He established the LeBron James Family Foundation in 2004, along his mother Gloria, to help out children and single-parent families in need. Among its many programs, the organization builds playgrounds in economically disadvantaged areas and hosts an annual bike-a-thon.

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
