What Controversy? Usher Gets Honored In Major Way For Wonderful Thing He Did For 40 Kids
As Usher’s three herpes accusers’ 15 minutes of fame mysteriously plummet into the land of oblivion, he’s out here helping the kiddies of America. Despite the still pending, yet seemingly meritless herpes lawsuits Quantasia Sharpton, Laura Helm, and an anonymous male filed against the “Good Kisser” crooner, there are many who are giving him his accolades, including several parents and their children.
On Thursday night, several stars, including Russell Simmons, gathered at the Hollywood Paladium to watch Usher accept his ‘Shining Star Award’ from the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation stated that they presented Usher with the award “for granting 40 wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses through his long-time partnership with Make-A-Wish.”
Several of those beautiful children and their parents attended the ceremony and were more than happy to see Usher there. It was a wonderful thing to see him bring joy to those kids’ lives and relieve some of the pain and stress they endure on a daily basis from their illnesses.
Here at ILoveOldSchoolMusic, we also are happy to finally be able to report some great news about Usher, because quite frankly, when it comes to him and his herpes controversy, it hasn’t been much ‘great news’ to report. Although his accusers are still apparently pushin’ forward with their $20 million lawsuits at this point, nothing has still been proven. Also, the more info that surfaces about the accusers the and/or their claims thus far, seem to raise more questions, than facts.
Whatever it is, it is though, and whomever is guilty- be it Usher or his accusers- deserve to be held accountable for their actions. We’ll keep y’all posted on how the herpes scandal plays out, but in the meantime, major salute to ‘Mr. Ursher baby’ for helping those children in need.
Random Usher Sighting
This is really random, but we have to give Usher his just due for his creative costumes for Halloween last month. He was one of our favorite singers, “I’m Rick James b*^ch”…
And he killed it with his Game of Thrones costume. Usher definitely gets an ‘A’ for effort and for the amount of time it probably took for him to get dressed that day…
