The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air ran from 1990 to 1996. From the very beginning, fans were captivated by the cool kid from West Philadelphia who moved from the hood to a mansion. Will and the Banks family won the hearts of viewers around the country, which is why it comes as no surprise that the cast is still turning heads more than 20 years later. This time, it all started with a photo posted on Instagram.

It seems they planned the “mini-reunion” but it was unexpected for fans.  Now this mini-reunion is just the latest morsel to stoke fans’ hopes that there will be some type of follow-up to the hit 1990s sitcom.

Apparently, they spent a wonderful Sunday afternoon together and almost everyone was present. “Always amazing to spend an afternoon with my Fresh Prince family,” Ribeiro, 45, wrote in the caption. Alfonso concluded the caption by remembering James Avery, known to fans as ‘Uncle Phil,’ who passed away on December 31, 2013, due to complications from open heart surgery. Needless to say, the cast members were devastated and most of them took to social media to share their reactions to Avery’s untimely death.
