Madonna is a world icon, whom millions of fans adore, but apparently there are a bunch of Prince fans who aren’t really feeling her like she’s a “virgin touched for the very first time” right about now. After word got out that Madonna was the chosen artist who will be paying a performance tribute to her friend, Prince, at the upcoming Billboard Music Awards on May 22nd, all HELL broke lose in the world of Prince fandom (not sure if that’s really a word, but I think y’all catch my drift). Anyways, some angry, disapproving fans have now started an online petition to officially push Madonna and her tribute ‘over the borderline’ (for our young Old School family, that is a reference to Madonna’s 1983 song, “Borderline”).
