50 Cent & Fans Drag Dapper Dan To “Coon” Levels For His Comments On Gucci’s Racial Backlash
Dapper Dan is a legend in fashion, African American culture, and the hip hop game overall. He was one of the first African American fashion designers to own his own clothing store in Harlem, NY in the 80’s and early 90’s. However, that does not exclude him from being called out by many, for offering what 50 Cent believes to be a very ‘coon-ish’ outlook on racially offensive tactics in the fashion game…or any game for that matter.
Dapper’s getting dragged to an oblivion and joining the likes of Floyd Mayweather, over their continued support of Gucci, after the brand released a ‘blackface’ sweater, which has now caused major backlash- and probably put a dent in their sales.
