Jussie Smollett Appears Carefree On Hawaii Vacation After Having Charges Dropped Over ‘Hoax Attack’
It’s been a hellish 2019 for Jussie Smollett.
But on Wednesday the actor/singer was seen having the time of his life with his family.
The 36-year-old Empire actor was pictured eating Cheetos and belly laughing with his sisters as they enjoyed a vacation in Hawaii.
His Sisters Were With Him
Members of the Smollett family were seen at the Kaloko-Honokōhau National Historical Park in Kailua, Hawaii.
Jussie was accompanied by his sisters, Jazz and Jurnee, his nieces, nephews and brother-in-law. His white t-shirt, hat, black shorts and sandals were a world away from the suit and tie he wore to court.
The actor was last seen flying in to Los Angeles within days of having 16 felony counts of lying to the police dropped.
He Was Accused Of Staging An Attack On Himself
Smollett was accused of staging an attack on himself on January 29.
Police say he paid Abel and Ola Osundairo to beat him in what Smolett described as a racist, homophobic attack by two Trump supporters. The actor even claimed they threw bleach on him and put a noose around his neck.
Even though his charges have been dropped the legal fallout from the case rages on in Chicago.
