Remy Ma Spotted Wearing Ankle Monitor Amid Rumors She Punched Brittney Taylor
Did Remy Ma really beat up LHH star Brittney Taylor just months after welcoming her baby girl Reminisce MacKenzie?
The Grammy nominated artist has refused to speak on the matter. But in a case of a picture speaking a thousand words, the rapper was recently photographed wearing an ankle monitor.
“Why Did You Really Do This?”
Early last week, Taylor took to social media – in since deleted Instagram post – claiming Remy Ma punched her in the face without warning.
Showing off her black eye in a muted video, Taylor’s caption read:
“So, here am I on my way to a very important meeting and it’s hard to even focus because of what occurred last night. didn’t wanna bring it to social media because It’s pretty embarrassing and not a good look tbh. I tried my best to cover it up with make up and move on but that still didn’t work. My Question is @remyma why did you really do this? #WHATHAPPENEDTOWOMANEMPOWERMENT #BlackLove? smh”
She Claims It Was A “Misunderstanding”
Taylor has since hired civil rights lawyer Marc Battipaglia to defend her.
Taken to social media, Battipaglia has defended his client who has been called a “rat” by angry Remy Ma fans.
“Let’s not forget that @brittneyftaylor claims she is a victim and she’s lucky to have people like @africandina to support her through this difficult time. If people continue to attack victims then we will all deter future victims from coming forward to hold wrongdoers accountable. I stand with Brittney,” he wrote.
A Domestic Dispute?
She alleges a “misunderstanding” involving Remy’s stepdaughter Dejanae led to her getting punched.
According to Taylor, Remy punched her after they got into a verbal altercation while they both attended a fundraising concert hosted by Remy’s long-time collaborator, Fat Joe.
Taylor revealed the argument stemmed from a dispute between Dejanae and a man during a spring break trip to Miami. She claims that the situation evolved into a domestic dispute.
