Recently old skool lyricist Pras Michel of The Fugees has been flexing his prosperity all over social media, bringing unwanted attention to himself for quite some time. Now the past is catching up with him as reports have come out that he’s in trouble with the feds in reference to financial support he offered to former President Barack Obama.

TMZ reports that it all went down in Washington, D.C. on Friday when federal prosecutors filed a four-count indictment against Pras, revealing details that call into question the legitimacy of his contribution.  The feds are claiming that Pras, along with successful Malaysian businessman Jho Low, deceptively worked underneath the radar to confiscate money from overseas accounts. And they allegedly used that money for donations in the United States, apparently for then candidate Obama.

Although the indictment doesn’t mention Obama by name … it says Pras made the donations for a Presidential candidate in the 2012 election, and specifies dates on which Pras posed for pics with that candidate. According to multiple reports, the candidate was Obama.
