As Jury Deliberates, Keshia Pulliam Defends Cosby Again & Discusses His Wife

We all watched as Keshia Knight Pulliam surprisingly became the first celebrity to publicly support Cosby at his trial when she escorted him into the Norristown, Pa. courthouse on Monday, June 5, 2017. At that time, she’d explained her decision to support him was partly because “I wanted to be the person that I would like to have if the tables were turned,” explained Pulliam.
As of this morning (Wednesday, June 14th), Keshia showed up to the Today Show to further explain why she’s sticking by Cosby, as the jury deliberates his fate for the third day in a row. If found guilty of committing sexual assault against Andrea Constand, he faces a $25K fine and up to 10 years in the pen.’ Check out some of what Keshia had to say below…
Keshia Defends Cosby & Her Decision
“It was important for me to be there because at the end of the day, I believe you’re innocent until proven guilty. And that’s not the man that I ever experienced. […] And I thought about it, how would I want to be treated if I was in that situation? And the true test of family, of friendship, of loyalty comes [at that moment].” Keshia then added, “It’s easier to be there for someone when business is good, when money is good, all these things. I just felt like I wanted to do what I would have wanted to receive.”
Keshia On Cosby Being Unfaithful To Camille Cosby
“I feel like this: Everyone has their own experiences and things they’ve done, you know, whether they’re proud of them or not. […] And he’s clear, yes, he has been unfaithful to his wife. And that piece is between the two of them. […] And the only people who know what happened, were the two people in the room at that time. […] And ultimately, if she [Camille] chooses to forgive him for those things, that’s between the two of them. And it’s just a hard situation, however you toss it, however you slice it, however you look at it.”
On How She’s Feel If Cosby’s Guilty
“You know, I’m going to have to cross that bridge when I come to it. I’ll be disappointed. However, it won’t change the love,” said Pulliam, as she also mentioned that sexual assault of any kind is not okay. “But he’s a person, a father, a husband, a parent. Someone’s son,” Pulliam added. “It’s up to them [the jury] to make a decision, not on bias or anything else, except for the facts of the case…. I trust they’ll do a good job at that.”

At this point there have been 50+ women to claim Cosby sexually assaulted them, dating as far back as the 1970’s. Ever since the accusers collectively made their claims, starting in October 2014, there has also been a clear divide among Cosby’s fans. Some believe he’s guilty because there are so many women claiming the same thing, that ‘he’s got to be guilty of something.’ While others believe that the 50+ women suddenly coming out, at once, to blame Cosby for sexual assault many decades later, should at least raise suspicion about their claims and/or motives. Right now though, it’s all about what the jury believes…we’ll keep ya’ll posted.
