Audio Tape Rejects Joycelyn Savage Claims That R. Kelly Relationship Was Not About Music

With all of the recent headlines discussing the R. Kelly’s alleged sex trafficking and sexual misconduct cases, new breaking details have surfaced regarding one of his relationships. R. Kelly claimed that he did not have a relationship with one of his because of her career as an inspiring singer. Jocelyn Savage, is one of the alleged victims of the recent R. Kelly allegations. Although, R. Kelly denies the recent allegations and rejects any claims made against him, new audio reveals that R. Kelly was aware of Jocelyn’s interest in having a singing career. This new audio tape is now in Federal custody after being presented as evidence that rejects the claims R. Kelly made against Joycelyn Savage.

According to theblast.com, they obtained a audio of a phone call between R. Kelly and Joycelyn during the beginning stage of their romantic relationship. The singers both met in 2015, after Joycelyn made it clear that she wanted R. Kelly to determine if she had what it takes to be apart of the music industry. R. Kelly, fully aware of her desire to be a singer, flew the young woman out after discussing the song she wrote called, “Don’t Hold Back”.

Although Joycelyn was not an “underage girl” at the time and was considered an adult, the singer still alluded to the idea that he could enhance her singing career. During the audio, the two can be heard discussing how Joycelyn’s “Don’t Hold Back” was inspired by R. Kelly’s song, “Half On A Baby”.

According to TheBlast, Joycelyn can be heard asking the artist if he noticed the similarities between the two songs. R. Kelly quickly responds with, “I noticed that all the way,” Kelly confidently tells Savage, adding that, “I love the song … Just needs some changes, a few different melody changes … it needs to be doped up.” And shortly after Joycelyn said that she was very interested in working with R. Kelly on the song.

He then assured her that they would be working together very soon. The audio recording makes it very obvious and clear that Joycelyn wanted to be singer, despite R. Kelly’s claim to Gayle King during their interview.
