Breaking News: Final Verdict Announced In Cosby Trial, Cosby Speaks Out

Well folks, the verdict for Bill Cosby’s sexual assault case has is finally here! After days of deliberation in the case in which former Temple University employee, Andrea Constand, claimed Cosby sexually assaulted her when she went to his home in 2004, the jury has made their decision- it is a MISTRIAL. *Scroll down to watch Cosby speak out after verdict announced*

After hearing all of the testimonies, they just could not unanimously conclude that Cosby was guilty of the claims. This happened even after the judge urged them, a few days ago, to go back in and come up with a unanimous vote when they were deadlocked in their decision at that time. FYI: The jury included one Black person and was made up of seven men and 5 women.

Via NPR: The judge in the sexual assault case of comedian Bill Cosby has declared a mistrial. After several days of deliberations, the jury could not come to a unanimous agreement. The inconclusive end to the high-profile trial leaves open the possibility that Cosby will be tried again.

If convicted Cosby, 79, could have spent the rest of his life in prison. He had been charged with three second-degree felony counts of aggravated indecent assault, and each count carries a minimum sentence of five years in prison.

As we previously reported, during the trial, Cosby’s attorney alleged that Constand and other accusers were lying through their teeth and were out for fame, fortune, book deals, etc. However, the prosecuting attorneys said that Cosby was a liar and that he used Andrea and assaulted her.
