Sheryl Lee Ralph has been in the entertainment industry more than 30 years and she’s only gotten better with time. The 61-year-old actress is a prime example of aging gracefully, because she’s just as beautiful as she was when she took the Broadway world by storm as “Deena Jones,” in the 1981 musical, Dreamgirls. Outside of the public eye, the former Moesha actress has a beautiful family and it looks like the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. Sheryl’s daughter/model, Ivy-Victoria Maurice, has paid homage to her by recreating some of her most iconic photos and her Mom’s fans are absolutely loving it.

Like Mother, Like Daughter:

On Wednesday, January 10, Ivy-Victoria took to Instagram with a #WCW post dedicated to the one woman she absolutely admires – her mother. The post included a series of captivating photos and the caption read, “LIKE MOTHER, LIKE DAUGHTER. I love you mama.” Check out the photos and be sure to swipe left

Maternal Inspiration:

After Ivy-Victoria posted the photos, her mother responded with an Instagram post of her own. The famed actress reposted one of her daughter’s photos and admitted just how flattering it is that her daughter has been so inspired by her sense of fashion:

“WCW I am so happy that my daughter @ivycoco23 finds such inspiration in my closets. When I see her rocking my clothes from back in the day I just Love it!!!!!! I was actually afraid to wear that dress because I thought it was to daring. But I’m glad I wore it now.”

It’s definitely safe to say this mother-daughter duo will be turning heads for quite some time, no doubt.

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
