Harvey Weinstein Gets ‘Settlement’, While Bill Cosby Sits In Prison
Bill Cosby Paid Off Accusers Too…But…
According to the source, Harvey Weinstein’s current settlement is half the previous offer. Now, it’s $44 million.
Reportedly, under these terms, $30 million would go to a plaintiff pool. However, this pool isn’t just for disbursement among the alleged sexual harassment victims. It’s actually for any creditors seeking payment from Harvey’s former studio.
“The balance would go to legal fees for associates of Mr. Weinstein, including board members named as defendants in lawsuits,” New York Times reports.
In essence, if Harvey finalizes the settlement agreement, his insurance policy would cover the $44 million payment.
But in case you didn’t know, Bill Cosby actually paid off alleged victims too. He still ended up in prison — and due to Andrea Constand, the Steven Tyler look-alike.
According to her “impact statement,” Constand said Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted her in January 2004.
But get this. In 2006, Cosby paid her in a $3.4 million settlement. So, did Constand want more money? Did Bill say “no”?
While Harvey Weinstein isn’t going to prison just yet, it’s not impossible. Although he’s currently paying out settlements — as you see from Bill Cosby — it could all still go to hell.
