Although Aaron Hall is known for his powerful voice, nice ballads and being one of the pioneers of the “New Jack Swing” era, along with the other members of Guy, his life and personality are colorful enough to be a reality show. He’s started more drama than a little bit, and he’s always as real as they come, regardless of if he looks like the bad guy afterwards…LOL. That’s why we’re saying that if reality shows existed in the 80’s, Aaron would have gotten the #1 ratings.

Check out the chart above and read a list of reasons Aaron would qualify based the things he’s done. Starting clockwise from the top center left pic.

1. Aaron Hall’s former girlfriend and their son.
Aaron has recently made the relationship between himself, his son, and the mother of his child VERY public in interviews. He said that he met Gloria Velez, a former video model, in a club and 3 days later she had his name tattooed right above her bikini line (if you know what we mean). He also disclosed that he loves his son very much but unfortunately he hadn’t seen him in 15 years. The good thing is that now, they have reconnected.

2. Teddy Riley
Aaron and Teddy have a love/hate relationship and they’ve had so much public beef over the years, we never know when they’re on and off. The last we heard was that they are ‘off’ right now and Aaron has publicly bad mouthed Teddy, calling him a “square” and Teddy has recently released a diss record aimed at Aaron and his former Black Street group member, Chauncey.

3. R. Kelly

Aaron said R. Kelly straight up jacked his style, but that he could never jack his swagger.

4. Luther Campbell (Rapper from 2 Live Crew)
Luther has said that he introduced Aaron to Gloria Velez (his son’s mother), but apparently Aaron wanted to set the record straight and said that story isn’t true. He then said he walked right up to her in a club, grabbed her hand, and took her from the guy she was standing with and then they went upstairs and did the deed.

5. Trey Songz
He referred to Trey Songz when saying that these younger cats are doing their thing, but will never be him.

6. The Dream
He says this singer/song writer/producer is a great song writer, but he needs to lose weight.

7. Jodeci

In telling the stories about his wild lifestyle in the past, he said that he used to hang out with Jodeci and they have witnessed him having some wild sexual encounters with females at parties and such.

8. Gene Griffin
Aaron was one of Gene Griffin’s favorites out of the group Guy, according to Teddy Riley and Gene always made sure that no matter what, Aaron remained in the group, now as far as the original member Timmy Gatling, that’s another story.

9.Timmy Gatling
The original member of Guy started out as really close friends with Aaron when they were working at a shoe store together. Then Timmy brought Aaron to his friend, Teddy Riley, and after that Timmy allegedly didn’t like that they started working on songs together without him.

10. Bishop Don Juan
He is a colorful former pimp, a reverend (go figure) and is really close friends with Aaron Hall as well as Snoop Dogg. Just having him on a TV show alongside Aaron is pure entertainment…you would have to see them hang out together.

11. Diddy
Just like Jodeci, Aaron also recently disclosed that Diddy used to be at some of these wild parties back in the day and has also witnessed Aaron’s sexual exploits with the ladies.

Whew! As you can see, if the cameras would have been rolling during all of this, Aaron would have been a prime candidate for reality TV because he doesn’t care about who’s business he tells, nor how he tells it. He just keeps it real and although this reality show would have probably been wild and messy, it probably would have been attention-grabbing at the same time.

About I Love Old School Music

We salute the incredible people and beautiful memories of that "old school". We’re not saying that every artist and every facet of the soul era was perfect, but the artists’ contributions to soul music and the old school memories of that particular time are PRICELESS.
