But after years of being a Teena Marie fan, My personal Opinion was she had an OBSESSION with Rick James ! ….. He was the HOT during the 70’s & 80’s …… He Exploited Teena. She was Green, Young & Was turned out by Slick Rick ! …. Her Passion was more about him. Poor girl was taken Advantage of so badly, That she died broke ! …. Rick James despite having an DRUG ADDICTION and being incarcerated died a millionaire ….She wrote ALMOST ALL HER MUSIC that he got paid for …. Go Figure !
