Regina King Makes Courageous Vow After Golden Globe Win
Legendary actress Regina King is starting 2019 with a bang. The Higher Learning actress has been wowing audiences for over thirty years. But now seems to be finally getting the recognition she deserves.
King took home her first Golden Globe Award last night for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture.
The 47-year-old won for her role in If Beale Street Could Talk. It’s King’s first Golden Globe win, having also been nominated for her heartbreaking portrayals in Netflix’s Seven Seconds and American Crime.
During her speech, she thanked director Barry Jenkins, the cast of Beale Street, and her son Ian Alexander, Jr.
