There are select entertainers who possess a certain level of artistic genius, that supersedes many of their celebrity peers. Not all entertainers have it, but when it comes to actor, Columbus Short, he’s one of them – though largely underrated. Sure, he was just ‘okay’ in “Scandal,” but when I saw how he portrayed “Little Walter” in Cadillac Records, I was impressed.

Problem is- dude can’t stay outta trouble to save his life! Maybe that’s why he’s still in the underrated category and not the A-List actor column. Nonetheless, when it comes to women, he just can’t seem to get it right. So now he has a far larger prob’ on his hands- one that seemingly involves multiple wives and an arrest warrant.

The Trouble Short Is In Now

It’s just been reported that Columbus is out here possibly illegally juggling multiple wives. However, it’s his second wife/actress, Tanee McCall (picture above), that he may end up in the pen’ for:

Via TMZ- Columbus Short could soon be sporting a pair of handcuffs — there’s a warrant out for the actor’s arrest — TMZ has learned. The ex-“Scandal” star failed to appear in court as part of his divorce proceedings with Tanee Short Tuesday … so the judge issued a warrant as it’s the second time Columbus has no-showed in as many months.

The point of the hearing was for a judgment debtor exam where the actor was to be grilled about his finances.

Even though the hearing was about how much money Columbus will have to pop off to his estranged wife, it may not be what he’s running from. Bigamy- marrying one person, while still legally married to another- is a crime in the United States. Nigeria? Maybe not so much. But America? Most definitely having two active marriage licenses at the same damn time will get you some legal problems.

Word on the Old School curb, is that not only is Columbus technically still married to his estranged wife, Tanee, but he’s reportedly now married to his current wife, Aida Abramyam (pictured below). So again, bigamy is a crime in America people… one that Columbus could currently be trying to avoid getting outed for.

By the way, Columbus’ marriage to his current alleged wife hasn’t been all peachy either. The two became engaged in 2016 and announced they were expecting a baby. However, by the time February 2018 rolled around, Columbus was booked and charged for beating Aida, who was reportedly listed as his wife.

He was initially sentenced to one year in jail, but ended up serving 34 days of his jail sentence, ultimately being released in March 2018. According to reports, the ex “Scandal” star was released a whopping 331 days early, due to overcrowding at the prison he was in. Talk about “luck,” right?

Ex-Wife Karrine Steffans Accused Him Of Bigamy

That union quickly ended up in disaster, after Karrine accused Short of cheating, then publicly threw him and his clothes out of her spot (see above photo).

Columbus later claimed that they were never married, despite their viral wedding photos in 2016. Karrine refuted his claims and in March 2018, she set out to prove him wrong, accusing him of bigamy:

Via Page Six– Steffans sent us a copy of her marriage certificate, and says that she now believes he denied that they were ever married because he was still married to actress Tanee McCall.

Steffans told us, “I’ve been silent in the press for two years, but I’m tired of all the lies they tell about me.” Steffans showed Page Six texts that she claims are from July, during Short’s relationship with Aida.

Columbus trying to pull a ‘Frankie Lymon’ on us? Go back to full-time acting bruh, because your love life is seemingly stressin’ you.

Before we get started, let’s put this out there first: Karrine Steffans has already PUBLICLY admitted that she’s lied on “Family Matters” actor, Darius McCrary when she claimed he abused her son. She also admitted that she lied about several claims she made in her book, “Confessions of A Video Vixen.” So we think it’s important to point that out just in case you wanna take her new claims against her husband, singer/actor, Columbus Short, with a grain of salt.

Okay ILOSM fam,’ here is why Karrine has just gotten a temporary restraining order against Columbus: After she was just all over social media last week, blasting Columbus on video and claiming that he’d cheated on her, Karrine is now saying that she’s worried because she claims that Columbus once kicked their bedroom door down in a drunken rage at their home and she also claims that he threatened her 18 year old son. Karrine also told the judge that she does NOT want a divorce. Columbus in return, has said that Karrine is telling some bold faced lies and he also allegedly said that they were never married, even though we have wedding pics of them…so we don’t know what the heck is going on.

Domestic violence or threats of domestic violence is no joke and should never be taken lightly, but the saddest thing about this whole situation is that Karrine’s history of lying on the men in her life and making them look ridiculous in the media, makes her story difficult for many to believe, even if it is true. Although to her credit, Columbus’ ex-wife once made some serious domestic violence claims against him as well and Columbus does have a reputation for having a short fuse, so it’s possible. But we are still talking about Karrine who made very explosive abuse claims against Darius McCrary and then admitted she lied on him…so overall Karrine and Columbus are like a spontaneous combustion just waiting to happen.

Unfortunately for Karrine, many people are just gonna think that she’s crying wolf…kinda like how many of them are thinking now. We’ll keep y’all posted on this story and in the meantime I’ll keep trying to understand why Columbus decided to jump into a relationship with Superhead…that’s not a diss to her, but rather just a very curious question.
