Anyways, this story isn’t necessarily about Drake, he’s just a backdrop topic in this case. This is really about what our girl, Erykah Badu, did to his new highly popular “Hotline Bling” song. I think E. Badu killed that track (in a good way) by remixing it, adding her own style, and even adding a bit of Roy Ayers and Bill Duke type of musical arrangements/effects to it toward the end when she mellowed the song out. Her remix is an extended version of 9 minutes, which is pretty long, but being that we don’t typically get to hear new music from Ms. Badu often, this is well worth the listen and it only gets better as the song progresses toward the end.

This is all just my humble opinion though, but we want y’all to listen to it from beginning to end for yourselves and tell us if you think Erykah’s version is a HIT or a MISS…
