Fans have never been happier to see Jamie Foxx, as they are today. How come? Because after months of mystery surrounding his health status, he was finally seen in public for the very first time! So it’s safe to say his recovery is going well so far.

In a video obtained by TMZ, Jamie is seen chillin’ on a mega-boat on the Chicago River on Sunday (7/9/23) afternoon. Dude looked healthy and happy to see fans, waving back at him from a nearby boat that passed by. It appears that Jamie was accompanied by some members of his family, who have been by his side during his entire health-scare ordeal, and have been visiting him as he undergoes physical rehabilitation in Chicago.

This sighting of Jamie in person is hella encouraging, because as y’all already know…there has been crazy speculations and suspicions about his condition, given that Jamie hasn’t been spotted in public for months. The longer he stayed out of the public eye, the more rumors began flying left ‘n’ right…and understandably so. People have been worried about the brotha, but now it seems that those rumors can be put to rest once and for all, because Jamie seems to be on his way back to 100% healthy again.

Now, as far as what exactly happened to him when he was rushed to the hospital from an Atlanta, GA movie set back in April 2023? Those details are still unknown, but the important thing is that he seems damn near ready for a comeback.

Another positive update on Jamie is that there is also reported footage of him spending a night out on the town in Chi-town on Saturday (7/8/23). In the video, he’s said to be active on his feet, and appears to be in great spirits. Yet another sign that he’s doing pretty well at this point, and may be ready to venture out more as he continues to recover.

It’s great to see Jamie Foxx back in the public eye again, and the rest of the world is undoubtedly happy to see this brotha too!

After more than three weeks in an Atlanta, GA hospital, the legendary Jamie Foxx has finally spoken out directly from his hospital bed.

Jamie Foxx’s Message To Fans From Hospital

Having received thousands of well wishes from people all across the globe, Jamie Foxx has heard our outpouring of support. So on Wednesday (May 3, 2023), Jamie took to social media to send a heartfelt message to his fans, writing, “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed.”

Needless to say, celebs and fans alike were more than ecstatic to hear from Jamie, and have been flooding his social media timelines ever since:

Mary J Blige left the comment, “Love you Jamie ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾”

Tamar Braxton commented, “Love to you my brother ❤️❤️❤️”.

Ellen Degeneres wrote, “I’m sending love to you every single day.”

Comedian, Deon Cole, stated, “SHONDO!!!! Supreme, forever goood love for you.”

Since there is no video message, nor image of Jamie Foxx messaging fans from his hospital bed, it’s unclear if he, or one of his loved ones actually posted his message on his social media page. Either way, though, fans are just happy to see any type of update from the comedic OG.

It’s also being reported that as Jamie continues to remain hospitalized following a mysterious medical emergency, on Wednesday, sources within his inner circle are continuing to ask the masses to “pray for Jamie,” who seemingly has a longer road to recovery than many previously thought.

Jamie Thanked Nick Cannon For Steppin’ In

News spread today, that Jamie also won’t be shooting the upcoming season of his show, “Beat Shazam,” which Jamie was previously scheduled to begin filming days after his medical emergency. The musical game show also co-stars his daughter, Corrine (as the show’s DJ). However, Corrine will also be skipping the entire upcoming season, as she remains by her dad’s side, while he fights his way back to 100% health in due time.

In a separate post, Jamie also thanked Nick Cannon, who will now be filling in for Jamie to host the upcoming season of “Beat Shazam.” Kelly Osbourne – daughter of rock legend, Ozzy Osbourne – will be filling Corrine Foxx’s DJ’ing spot for the season as well. To Nick, Jamie wrote, “Appreciate ya my boy,” as he shared his daughter’s post, thanking Nick and Kelly for temporarily taking over the show for them.

Jamie’s team and family have kept the details of what exactly happened to Jamie during his “Back In Action” movie filming on the low. But thankfully, Jamie’s health seems to be improving. We will continue to send Jamie Foxx uplifting energy, and look forward to seeing him make a full recovery.

Days After His Critical ‘Medical Emergency’…Jamie Foxx’s Family Gives Health Update

I Love Old School Music family, we’re continuing to keep Jamie Foxx in our thoughts and prayers as he continues his hospital stay in Atlanta, GA.

As you all may have heard, the actor/singer was rushed to the hospital Tuesday (4/11/23), after suffering a major “medical emergency.” Fast forward 48 hours later, and his family says his condition is improving…although it doesn’t appear that he’s completely recovered just yet.

Here’s what’s now been reported:

Via TMZ– Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … Jamie Foxx “is doing a lot better,” even joking with his family. That said, we’re told the medical emergency was serious, and doctors still haven’t gotten to the bottom of what happened to him. We’re told he’ll be in the hospital for at least a few more days, while doctors perform tests.

Thankfully, this is good news in comparison to Jamie’s initial condition on Tuesday. Although his eldest daughter, Corrine, didn’t broke the news publicly until Wednesday, she shared the news that he was ‘doing much better, and that he’d immediately received “great care” when the medical complication occurred.

That same day, it was also revealed that Jamie’s condition was so dire, that family members — including several of who were not in Atlanta — flew in to see him in the hospital. One source connected to his situation then shared that “[Jamie’s] communicating now, and that’s good news”…which gave a clearer picture of just how terrifying Jamie’s condition had previously been.

Jamie has been stationed in Atlanta, filming “Back In Action” with actresses, Glen Close and Cameron Diaz. But it’s not quite clear if he was on set at the time of his Tuesday morning medical emergency. It also hasn’t been revealed when the film will resume shooting.

Daughter, Corrine, is requesting this of Jamie’s fans:

“We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”

Jamie Foxx Revealed Why He Had A Personal Vendetta Against Terrence Howard

Apparently, Jamie Foxx had (maybe still has) a serious issue with fellow actor/musician, Terrence Howard, as in the former “Lucious Lyon.” According to Jamie, their beef goes back a few years and it was T. Howard who started it.

Mimicking Terrance Howard’s Shaky Voice

In a prior interview on ‘Big Boy’s Neighborhood’ radio show, Big Boy asked Jamie which actor he truly feels does not deserve to get the recognition that he/she currently is getting. For Jamie, there was only one answer…and that person was Howard. He then went on to explain why, while also mimicking Terrence’s signature shaky voice cadence.

This was comical and real at the same damn time…

Now, some of y’all may be thinking, ‘Jamie’s always roasting somebody, like he ain’t got no flaws.’ And that may be true…but there’s no denying that Jamie never ceases to crack us up, while demolishing one of his arch-enemies.

Speaking of which, there was another classic time in Foxx’s career, when he and Kevin Hart went at it on Foxx’s “The Foxxhole” Sattelite radio show. They both were going tit for tat and were equally hilarious. So I don’t think either of them ‘won’ that battle, so to speak. BUT Kevin made the whole room fall out when he pointed out an elephant in the room- Jamie’s prior hairline. You see, at that time, it was easy for Kev’ to take shots at Foxx’s hair, because many people were doing so online already. Kevin told Jamie:

“I bet this…we’ll all be able to tell how old Jamie REALLY is, if he stops coloring his hairline….You DRAW your hair..(laughs).”

Fast forward to now though, and he is a hairline meme joke NO MORE, because the brotha’s clearly either gotten the hair transplant surgery, or a barber who’s hella skilled with hair fiber powder 🤷🏾‍♂️, because his hairline is back like it never left…and no one can clown him about it now. ILOSM family, many of us knew Jamie Foxx and Oprah Winfrey went back like Cracker Jacks, but had no clue why they were so tight..until now. It turns out, Oprah saved Jamie from himself when he was at his lowest, most vulnerable point, even though it really should have been one of his highest moments in life. *Scroll down to watch Jamie explain his touching story*

While interviewing on The Howard Stern Show, Jamie revisited a story he’d shared once before on The Steve Harvey Show a couple years ago about Oprah. Her help started in 2005, when Jamie was nominated for an Oscar Award for his phenomenal portrayal of music icon, Ray Charles, in the film, Ray (2004). Jamie says he was going WAY too overboard with his hardcore partying ways behind the scenes, so Oprah stepped in and staged an intervention…

The Much Needed Reality Check

Foxx admitted he was doing every “f*%kin’ think you could possibly imagine” at the point in his life, and Oprah called him out of the blue with a reality check, by telling him, “You’re blowing it.”
“[She said], ‘All of this gallivanting and all this kind of s**t, that’s not what you want to do… want to take you somewhere. Make you understand the significance of what you’re doing,'” Jamie recalled. But there’s more…

Here’s the thing, Oprah didn’t just do an ‘intervention,’ she did it BIG…and it included music icon, Quincy Jones; iconic actor/Oscar winner, Sidney Poitier; and many more Black acting legends from the old school era, who were all there hoping Jamie would get his mind right- a moment that he’ll never forget. Jamie said it wasn’t until Poitier spoke to him man to man, Oscar winner to then-Oscar nominee, that he broke down in tears right there in front of everyone. LL Cool J Says He Knocked Out Jamie Foxx Amid Heated Confrontation, Gave Blow-By-Blow Details

LL Cool J’s 1990 “Mama Said Knock You Out” lyrics went straight to the heart (and his fists). During an interview, the rapper gives a detailed account of what actually happened between him and Jamie Foxx.

While on the Any Given Sunday set with Jamie, things got a bit too real during one of the scenes. LL Cool J spoke up about the situation during an episode of Drink Champs.

Nevertheless, in the 1999 sports drama ,Any Given Sunday, LL told the hosts how Jamie ended up on the floor. Apparently, similar to how Jamie described the situation during one of his standups, LL was in full-character mode.

The rapper states that Jamie didn’t like how aggressive he was being toward him. According to LL, Foxx actually asked him to ease up. However, LL didn’t take his request seriously. Thus, the next scene…

‘I Was Rough With Him Again’…

LL says he didn’t back off at all. However, that allegedly caused Jamie to react.

“And, then, I don’t know why, but he thought it was a good idea to punch me in my face. This wasn’t scripted. I’ma keep it 100 with you. You want me to keep it 100 — I’m gonna keep it 100. He punched me in my face.”

When that happened, LL asked Jamie why he would do that. And after a few fighting words between the two, Jamie got laid out.

“He had his helmet on, and he was turned to the side,” LL tells the Drink Champs hosts. “He said, ‘I told you before. Don’t put your hands on me. Period!’ Yo, when he said that, my left hand grabbed the face mask and, as I was pulling his helmet off, my right hand was punching his chin. This was like ‘POW!’ And then he was laying there and I thought he was faking because he was sleep!”

Jamie later filed charges against him for the incident. However, as LL mentions, it’s water under the bridge between them now, and they’re cool.
