Without any warning or promotions, Gayle King drops clips of an explosive interview with R. Kelly. If you weren’t talking before, this one will have you wondering…what in the world?

The full interview will air tomorrow, Wednesday (3/6) at 7am EST on CBS, but a clip of what to expect has been released and R. Kelly is denying everything.

Lies?

In the interview conducted today, Robert Kelly calls the accusations — which involve four women, three of whom were underage at the time of the alleged abuse — “lies.” Watch an excerpt above.

Kelly, who is awaiting a March 22 court date, claims the current cases against him constitute double jeopardy, the clause from the Fifth Amendment that prohibits a person from being prosecuted twice for the same offense.

In the interview, Gayle King notes reminds R. Kelly that “the past is relevant with you with underage girls.” But Kelly denies that, saying, “Absolutely no it’s not. … Because, for one, I beat my case. When you beat something, you beat it.”

When King says she isn’t referring to the 2008 case in which the singer was acquitted, he says: “You can’t double-jeopardy me like that. You can’t. It’s not fair. It’s not fair to nobody. When you beat your case, you beat your case.”

Later, Kelly gets emotional, saying:

“Forget the blogs, forget how you feel about me. Hate me if you want to, love me if you want. But just use your common sense. How stupid would it be for me, with my crazy past and what I’ve been through. … Quit playing! I didn’t do this stuff! This is not me! I’m fighting for my f*cking life!”

Gayle King must have used the “Call A Friend” option, and asked Oprah to make this happen, because she also has an interview with Azriel Clary and Joycelyn Savage — whose friends and family believe are part of a sex cult they accuse Kelly of keeping — will air Friday.

Jocelyn Savage At R. Kelly’s Bail Hearing

Sandra Rose reports that Savage’s parents quickly flew to Chicago in hopes of reuniting with their daughter, after the singer was arrested on February 22. Kelly was charged with 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse of minors, according to the source.

But even in his charges, both Jocelyn and Azriel appeared by his side in court. According to the source, they both told reporters they were there to show support for Kelly. Reportedly, the singer was released after posting 10 percent of his $1,000,000 bond. Newsweek says he’s due back in court on March 22 — until then, he’s maintaining his innocence and denying all allegations and charges against him.

Sandra Rose states that Jocelyn’s parents feel that she’s being brainwashed and intimidated by R. Kelly. Nevertheless, they have high hopes she’ll choose to return home with them. Yet, first, the parents still need an escort to the apartment.

According to TMZ, R. Kelly’s attorney — Steven Greenberg — mentioned:

“Police in Chicago and Atlanta have both done wellness checks. Plus [Jocelyn] has been in court. Now this attorney is a psychiatrist. Gimme a break.”
